I OP'd £300 at the end of Jan and then had another £150 that I could OP, but when typing up my bumph in earlier post which gave the total then of £450 OP for the month I then went and OP'd £450 instead of the £150! (if that makes sense!) So I op'd £300 more than I wanted to. I am so stupid and really need to take more care. If I didnt have the savings back up I would be so stuck.

SOooo I have knocked another month off my term and another brick off my house graphics lol.
    grrr

  • Hi PammyJ - it's lovely to read your diary. Your situation is SO like mine. I too am working on this alone and trying my very best to get my mortage paid off before DD leaves school. My mortgage is now just under £45,000 and I am aiming to get rid of it in 6 years and two months - can't wait. My house needs things doing to it like new windows but we are plodding on in it as it is with the no mortgage aim taking priorty. My first OP nearly two years ago was £67.20. Gradually I have eeked it up by adding a bit more each month so now my OPs are going up to £240 in March. Keep telling myself each new £10 addition is getting me closer to the goal and more important than buying a couple of cakes! I wish you loads of luck with your ventures and will look forward to reading how you are getting on. Being mortage free is going to be so great. DD and I are planning our end of mortgage party already!
    MFW - number 11 :)

OP Target for 2014 £1500 Mortgage now £43745
