Oh no you are better to keep it there incase you need it in the future ......No I would like to cancel it please ......Well you know in these times of credit hard to come by you are better to keep it  No I want it cancelled ....Can I ask why ? .....Because I want to look at my account and know I am not looking at £2,000 of your money that is now costing me over 18% interest ...... Ok let me cancel that for you :T So its gone but will never be forgotten we have been together 9 years !!!!! Great work Mavvy Moo! I had a similar conversation with them a few months ago. It was quite amusing0

Well done Purplegrape.I found it quite amusing too. They really don't want to lose their overdraft customers. But I found myself thinking are they right should I keep this and just let this sit here.So how many customers just leave it there and find themselves in it again ? It was hard to be parted with it as it makes you feel you don't have that lifeline if needed. Oh well something else for me to worry about I suppose

I've had an expensive bank holiday weekend away, so no extra payments for me last week or this. Might be car booting at the weekend, so should manage some extra next week.Debt Free Date: November 20170

Hi all, think i could join you guys? you are inspirational! just goes to show how every little payment can make a big dent in the debts! I am trying to clear two credit cards. Actually, i had a similar experience to that above regards closing an old credit card account - they didn't want me to - but I don't like having a card account with no balance on it cuz the temptation is always there to use it!
Going to do my sums and see if i can round down anything for this week - have listed some stuff on ebay but nothing moving yet. Forever optimistic thoughgood luck all and thanks for reading

Hello again! have figured i can spare £29.67 off one of my cards (the one with higher interest rate) so have paid that for this week..won't be able to pay that much extra every week but trying to force myself to cut back a bit now because if i leave it to the end of the month i will have nowt left for sure. Going to start saving pound coins n £2 coins etc and see if that will help.
Good luck & best wishes, Moggy0 -
