    Morning all.

I think today is going to be a bad one for weightloss: it's dark, and damp, and I'm getting deeply fed up with finishing my calorie-controlled, portion-controlled meals and still feeling nearly as hungry as when I started. :( So, today's plan is:

B - instant porridge (which doesn't taste nearly as nice as I remember, which is a bit of a nuisance as I've still got half a box left :()
L - something from the local sandwich shop / deli: I'll ask them to put lots of salad in it to make it feel a bit healthier; piece of fruit of some sort
D - slice of steak pie, baked beans and grilled tomatoes

I'll try to stay away from the office biscuit tin, but I can't guarantee it will work! :o

    OG - I love the bag. :)
Back after a very long break!

    Morning all,

I have had an awful weekend (food wise) so I am trying to play catch up with the calories the rest of the week and will be having a sneaky weight in at lunch time to see if there is any damage :o

I bought a second freezer last night so this weekend will be a cooking weekend and making a note of the calories / ingredients to keep me on track.

Managed a quick 1.5mile walk / jog yesterday with the dogs :T Going for a brisk walk today too.

    Today is as planned

B: Rice Krispies; Activia Yogurt, Melon and Grapes
    L: MU Farm House Stew
D: Birds Eye Chicken with rice and salad
    S: Banana, Apple and Ryvita

I seem to be starving by 9am most mornings as my little girl gets up around 5am each morning ... on the plus side I have my main meal at6 when working and I am in bed by 9pm :)

I definitely need to find a low calorie warm breakfast for the colder months as I am used to having hot breakfasts - I can't seem to make porridge how I like it :( Doing a bit of research later this week of some new recipes to try :)

  • Hello all

Had a bit of a rotten day yesterday, went to dentists for the first of two fillings - absolutely horrific. He had to give me two injections, one in the gum and then one to numb the bottom lip for some reason...but the second one didnt take properly so I had to have a third.....I was so nervous and in so much pain, I was shaking uncontrollably in the chair while he was doing the drilling and then the filling itself. I am NEVER like that with dentists but I am horrible with needles, especially when they're being stabbed into my mouth!

So anyway, afterwards it was just good to get out of there. My mouth was all swollen up (to look at me you wouldnt have thought I had just been pulled about like that tho thank goodness) and I couldnt eat for about 3 hours, and when I did I had mashed potato and peas, and a profiterole dessert :o

managed some chopped celery and cheese dip with quavers when at work before my shift, and then had noodles with veg when I got home last night (you can just suck those up lol).

breakfast this morning: ww sausage and bacon sandwich (bread was so lovely and fresh and soft) and have a banana to eat if I get hungry whilst multitasking - got finances etc to sort out today before I leave for work.

have a good brolly day - its been peeing it down here!

Oh poor TG, the dentist sounds horrible :(

A sneaky weigh this morning suggests I may have gained 2lbs over the weekend!!! I wasn't even that bad :( like lots of people on here I just feel so discouraged. I am off on holiday for the last 2 weeks of August and it is sooooooooo tempting to say s*d it, forget this challenge, I'll start again in September. Soooooooooooooooo tempting.....................

Last night I made a lovely dinner and then was really sick for some reason. No idea why - I made everything from scratch so there definitely wasn't anything I was allergic to. Anyway, that made my weight on the scales even more horrifying this morning, as it was with a very empty tummy and having had no meal yesterday!!

I took a load of my allergy medicine last night when I was ill so I slept like the dead until around 9am this morning but now feel really rough and groggy - always makes me feel bad the next day. Am still sitting in my pyjamas! It is pouring with rain, just horrid.

I just tried making a heathy shake for brunch....loads of strawberries, a splash of leftover half fat coconut milk, a splash of soya yogurt, some low cal soya milk and a spoonful of flaxseed. It has just gone down the sink as it tasted HORRID - no idea why :( maybe the coconut milk had been in the fridge for too long, or the strawberries were a bit old, but it just had a yucky 'off' taste :( so I ended up with a too-big bowl of cereal instead :(

Sorry for the whinge - it just feels like one of those days! Must try and keep on track...

    So, plan of action:
    B - cereal
L - rice cakes with vegan cream cheese spread, tomatoes and spring onion
D - sweet and sour pork with noodles (hm)
S - fruit if I want it, probably lots of cups of tea as it is just that type of day...

Yesterday, I walked for 15 minutes on our treadmill!!!!!
Those of you who remember the saga of the broken foot will realise what a huge achievement this is! Foot isn't too sore today but I think I will rest it and then do another 15 mins tomorrow. I am still in the 6 week period when the doctor said not to do any exercise on it so I need to take it easy.

Wow, sorry for the long post!! Hope everyone else has a better diet day than me...

Afternoon. I'm starving today :( Had my breakfast about 10 am (two boiled eggs as usual) and then an orange an hour later. It's another hour until lunch and my stomach is growling like mad. Trouble is when I get like that I eat my meal and still feel hungry after. Going to have to keep knitting this afternoon so I can't pace round the kitchen looking through the cupboards - which are quite bare because the shopping is due tomorrow afternoon.
