Had one of those days where I just wanted to eat...and eat...and eat...
I've been telling myself No constantly throughout the day.
B: berry granola, ss milk
L: lf yoghurt with strawberries and pineapplesouthern fried chicken, peas, oven chips
No real exercise, about 15 minutes cutting hedge.
Been having problems with my fridge...the motors still running, there's still some ice on the back inside, but it's not keeping things cold. Very annoying, stuff is going off in this hot weather..and I don't want to pay for a new one! It's the fact that it's still running...any suggestions on anything I could do to get it cold again?
And will you all stop talking about crisp butties!...now I really want one, and I hardly ever eat crisps :rotfl:

There definitely seems to be a bit of an eating theme developing today, doesn't there? I'm kind of glad it's not just me, anyway!
Dinner tonight ended up being a spicy seafood stew with a couple of slices of garlic toast - relatively healthy, and very tasty.
Oh, and I'm feeling very virtuous as I bought some of my favourite cheese-topped bread rolls on the way home from work, then decided I really didn't need them tonight and put them in the freezer. :ABack after a very long break!0 -
Evening All
Well I am absolutely shattered! Ds school trip today which consisted of a 30 min walk too and from the bus stop and school then walking around a the museum gardens (which were lovely) then walking round the museum then to the play park, i swear I 'm less tired at work:eek: Poor littlies (they are 6) where so tired and so many had no hats, 1 little boy didn't even have a drink:eek::eek:
Luckly there were extra drinks bought by the teacher
B. museli and yoghurt
L. Ham and cue sandwich, hula hoops, yog, peach, 2 juice boxes and loads of water
Ice lolly when we got back from school( I so needed it:rotfl:)
D. Tuna sandwich, crisps, saffron bun, more water, might have another ice lolly later! Oops sorry also 2 choc digis
Not a very healthy day but balanced by lots of walking and sweating, should be lots of tired children tonight!
Looking forwards to a restful day back at work tomorrow:rotfl:'You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself any direction you choose' - Dr Suess

Hi Ellie,
I had a quick look on google about your fridge:
http://uk.answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20090628022117AA3CQr1
Don't know if it has the answer... but if you google your fridge not cooling you'll get loads of hits
I see that you are mentioning crisp butties... I remember when I was a young 16 yr old in Hertfordshire many moons ago, our favourite office lunch was sliced ham, a couple of rolls, a pkt of crisps and some mayonnaise... and butter... Butter the rolls, lay on as many slices of ham as you fancy, squash the crisps on top and drizzle the mayonnaise on top... You English have a lot to answer for  Prior to that, I had only ever had a chip buttie... but then I suppose we did one better with the fried Mars Bar (which I have never tasted by the way...:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Sleep well, and get the fridge fixed !!!0 -
Chip buttie - yummy xI must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.0 -
Sorry don't have time for a proper reply. Would just like to say thanks for all the support last week ... I have decided to stop talking to that person about weight loss to avoid her upsetting me.
I have been tracking my food on mfp and was shocking over by 500cals yesterday ... luckily I did a 5k race for life Sunday

Thanks officeguru, I'll have a look for fridge repairs later...I think I've been holding off doing anything because DS is expecting me to magic up a new one...he was complaining last night that he hates warm milk on his cereal, but not offering any solutions. He's an adult, he's an engineer, he's more than capable of looking at a fridge...why does he expect his mother to see to it just because it's in the kitchen?
I've never tried a deep fried mars bar either...round here they were doing deep fried c@dburys cream eggs earlier in the year...my first reaction was "yuck", but then I did have a sneaky curiosity to find out what they tasted like...much better to never know, what if they were lovely, it would be popping candy chocolate all over again :rotfl:

Today's being a slightly odd day for me as I woke up with a splitting headache and called in sick to work (I'm feeling much better now, I'm pleased to say
).
B - two slices of granary toast with butter and honey (my favourite "I'm not feeling well" breakfast); last of the cherries
L - six mini cheese and ham turnovers with salad; chopped nectarine with FF yoghurt
D - quorn escalope with mixed veg (a RM pack which I bought RTC last week and froze) and steamed asparagus
I haven't yet decided whether I'll go to the pub quiz tonight, but if I do I'll stick to soft drinks as I don't want to make my headache any excuse to come back.Back after a very long break!0 -
Hi everyone
Sorry ive been MIA since Friday (hiding under a massive pile of food im afraid:o)
Ive ate loads over the weekend and yesterday and ive finally worked out whats going wrong...........its booze!
As many of you know I split up with my OH of 11 yrs xmas just gone and since then ive been on a whirlwind of going out which has been good in so many ways but also not so good on the health front....late nights, drinks, fastfood at 1am etc etc :eek::eek:
I seem to have a couple of drinks Friday night which leads to snacks- crisps, chocs etc and then we usually go out on a Saturday night and I just drink too much (im in my 30's so should know better!!) so im having all the calories from drinking then loads of calories the following few days as i eat sugary things to 'perk' me back up and because im hungover (for AT LEAST Sunday & Monday ) I cant really be bothered to eat heathly or exercise
Soooooooooo im going to try and completely cut out the booze for a while (shouldnt be hard as ive never really been a big drinker)
Wow sorry for the massive post :rotfl:
Anyway today:
B: Museli, greek yog, strawberries, blueberries
S: 1 brazil nut, banana
L: hm ham & pasta salad, small chunck of cheese, 2 x satsumas
S: muller greek yog, grapes
T: chicken leg with jerk spices, jacket potatos, salad & avacado
Really need to try and have NO snacks tonightO/S weight loss 2.5 /10lbs (11st 8.0- 08.02)0 -
CCP - hope you feel better soon *hugs* Could be dehydration causing the headaches, I used to suffer with really bad migraines (thankfully these days not as much as I used to) and I was told I wasnt drinking enough water!
Ellie - hope you get the fridge (and your DS) sorted soon
Just a point though, you say there is ice at the back of the fridge? What setting do you have it on? Can you turn it down so the ice melts? I know in freezers you have to defrost those for them to work properly, maybe the ice in the fridge is blocking the vent for the cooler system to work properly?
Back to me today.....not feeling too bad after yesterdays binge (!) and loving the thunderstorm we had down hereIt passed right over our house at one point, lightening and thunder were literally 30 seconds apart and very loud/bright!
have to go and get some petrol into the car and also pop down to the dealers where I got it earlier this year - I need to ask them a few questions, they're very good generally and never charge me a penny to look at the car when I have a problem. Mind you it helps that they know the backstory to DD passing so they have a bit of sympathy for a girl who knows virtually NOTHING about autos! :rotfl:
However - if the weather doesnt clear up I wont be going anywhere!!!
b - cheese on 2 slices wm toast, banana
l - pork&stuffing + salad in a small crusty roll, fruit pot
d - last hm portion out of freezer! beef stirfry (maybe with l/o salad if it needs using after lunch prep)
will need to cook portions this week now, perhaps Thursday if not too hot [have taken the quorn chicken out of freezer jic] and maybe the stirfry on Friday (ingredients in garage freezer).
have a lovely thunderstormy day all0
