It HAS been very quiet in here recently.
I've been out today - drove to the nearest city (about 30 miles) to buy some towels (very boring!)
I thought I might have a wander round some shops, maybe have coffee or lunch in a caf!, so I paid for 3 hours in the car park.
Well, I was back to my car within the hour! Just couldn't get into it...I'm trying to stick to a budget this year (£100 for clothes and shoes) and I really don't need anything...I very rarely even look in my wardrobe, I wear the same few jeans and fleeces in rotation all the time. I walked round 2 of the big stores, and just remembered how I enjoyed buying clothes there a couple of years ago, when I was slimmer and things looked nice. It would have been a misery to try anything on today
And of course it didn't take long for my back to get really painful, which doesn't help! I felt like I was walking round in a fog...I keep getting overcome by inertia, I only do what's necessary.
I wonder...will losing weight give me back my love of life, or do I need to get my enthusiasm for life back before I'll be able to lose weight successfully?
I've been lax listing my menus,
today -
B: cornflakes, sultanas, ss milk
L: missed
S: 2 oreos with my little great nieceno idea yet, on my own tonight, so need a menu re-think
If you could live one day of your life over again, which day would you choose?0 -
Might as well post since I too have been lax the last few days. I also need to get back on my menu plans! I seem to be eating a load of junk again!
Too much carb based stuff, not enough veg!
Been driving around a heck of a lot today - went to the cemetery to lay flowers for Dad and the stonemasons to arrange for the headstone for Dad's plot too. Then went to the post office, the DIY store, the pet shop and the laundromat!
Yesterdays menu::
b- none, had a lie in instead lol
l - bacon rolls x 2
d - hotdogs (in bun) x 2
s - 2 x yoghurts (not at the same time, had one after each "meal"), piece of marble cake
Today:
b - turkey rasher and tomato sandwich
l - portion chips from the chip shop while out, when we got back I had 3 crackerbread with garlic and herb spread.
d - h/m lasagna or pasta bake portion (cant remember which one I put up to defrost!) with veggie spring rolls.
s - fruit pot, 2 x marshmallow peep chicks0 -
Well I eventually got around to weighing myself this morning - after a long overdue lie-in - got up at 9.45  Sorted the washing and put the first lot in, got a little pack of Rice Krispies for a late breakfast (lurking in the cupboard waiting to be used up after DD2 wanted a variety pack) and put them in a bowl until I got weighed. I've lost 2lbs - yippeeeeeee
It'll keep until the weekend Dragon and hopefully inspire me to keep trying.
Anyhow, I had my little bowl of aforementioned RKs, feeling very smug, and DH got on the Wii, and he's STS
So today has been a blur of washing, hanging out, and sorting the bank account. I'm afraid I have OCD with my bank account - I have to write all our card payments down in a book and check them off the statement when it comes and 'balance' my account. It's a throwback from working in a bank many moons ago, I think.
DD2 came home early today - she works strange hours at times - and asked if we wanted some of the salad that needed using up, so of course we said yes - not often anyone makes my lunch! So she made a lovely salad with some leaves, iceberg, tomatoes, cucumber, red pepper, beetroot, ham and boiled eggs. I didn't even have any bread - now that's something for me
Dinner was leftover Sunday dinner, so not much to do, and I had a pink and white marshmallow wafer (or two) for afters.
Supper has been Greek yog and banana.
Lots of water today - it's been really warm even though it wasn't very sunny. Haven't really fancied tea today.
I sorted some of my wool stash this afternoon. It's quite amazing how it breeds when you're not looking2025 Fashion on the ration
