I'd like to join too, if I may. I'm 31 and 5'7 and about 13 stone
I'm disabled and in a viscious circle that the more I weigh, the worse my back is, but the more pain I'm in, the less exercise I can do (by which I mean move at all), and the more I comfort eat:mad: Ideally I'd like to be 10 and a half stone. Between the 4th of Jan (Hubby's birthday is the 3rd) and Easter, my target will be to lose 14lb, but it all depends on my back.

Just popped back to say Bramble1 suggested in thread 7 that I use a small plate and teaspoon for my meals, it certainly helped and I don't feel deprived at all. I also use a cake fork (or you could use a baby fork). A small cereal bowl for pasta etc, rather than a pasta bowl - it was interesting to tip my new quantity from the small bowl to the big one to see how much less I'm eating, I couldn't manage a 'proper' bowl/plate of food now if you paid me!
. The only thing I can't cut down on is my tea, I drink black or green and sometimes lemon and ginger, but my kettle's never cold.
Amendment to this evening's supper, will be crispbread with vegemite/peanut butter as not now going out.0 -
Happy New Year XXX
Had a sneaky weigh in this morning and am nearly back at pre christmas weight so hope to maintain that until next week when the new challenge starts.
Hugs and happiness this year xI must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.0 -
That is great news Molly41.
I have had a grilled bacon sandwich and a cup of tea for breakfast. I must buy skimmed milk and wholemeal bread. I think it will make all the difference.
I have signed up to myfitnesspal. It looks quite a comprehensive resource. I won't be using it to it's full potential as I'm not calorie counting but will like to record any weightlosses there.
lunch: left over chicken in a sandwich
dinner: sausage, onion gravy and steamed veg - on a side plate.
I will be trying my very first attempt at making a steamed pud tonight, I won't indulge but I am going to have a bit.0 -

Hi
Could I join this challenge too please? I haven't weighed for about a month, but estimate that I need to lose about a stone overall. I'd like to do this slowly, so 7lbs for me by Easter is ideal.
I'll aim to start from Friday, when I'll do a proper WI and record it here. I will also have been back in work a few days by then too, so will be back to routine.

Hopefully it'll be removed when the NY [STRIKE]hangovers [/STRIKE] celebrations have settle down
Just had an email from grOupOn, they're selling three days worth of fresh 'hand juiced' fruit & veg juice for £60, or 5 days for £80 :eek::eek:. For that I can buy a decent juicer and get masses of carrier bags of fresh fruit and veg, probably enough to last me the best part of a month - these 'diet/cleanse/detox' companies really do think folk are stupid, don't they? :doh:0
