Mine still says the same. The sender has advised us that item FD*******GB will be posted into the Royal Mail network on the 2012-01-03. Money has now come out of the bank though

The one order that did get dispatched says 'The sender has advised us that item F***********GB will be posted into the Royal Mail network on the 2012-01-05'

Also, Local store didn't have the ones I wanted in stock.. Rang up customer services and asked why one ordered has been dispatched despite being ordered 3 days later than my other orders. The lady told me it's probably because the other two are a lot more popular and it will take more time to go through and dispatch those to the customers. And as I've have no cancellation mails they should be reserved for me.. But she also said I could be still waiting till next Wednesday for confirmation due to the '3-7 Day' processing.. So in theory I've got at most, Another 5 day wait to see if I even get them :wall:

My tracking still shows the following message:

The sender has advised us that item FD370751407GB will be posted into the Royal Mail network on the 2012-01-04.

If this is being sent by Recorded delivery (and not Special Delivery) then I won't hold my breath waiting for the tracking to update. Even when Royal Mail deliver the parcel and the off chance they request a signature, it does not always update online.

The Perfume Shop should know better than to send fragrance by Royal Mail as they do not compensate for loss/damage of fragrance in delivery as it is a health & safety issue (something to do with the alcohol in the products) so they should use an alternative courier.

one of my parcels tracking now says arrived at Leeds Mail Centre on the 2012-01-05 and we are currently processing it and the other still says The sender has advised us that item FD370751407GB will be posted into the Royal Mail network on the 2012-01-04. They must be slowly updating now
  • Right, it looks like very few people are going to get the daisy after all. Got an email cancellation a little while ago, after being told a couple of days ago that it will be dispatched by the end of the week. I rang them and they said too many people tried to buy it, and they couldn't fulfil the orders. Waste of time. I'll stick to Boots and Debenhams in the future!
Love saving, but not sure I'm doing it right!

me too! They are a rubbish company! I've had loads of conflicting emails from them! Firstly, I received a confirmation email. Then a part order cancellation email. Then a full order cancellation email. And now a dispatch email for one of the gift sets I ordered??? I wrote to them last monday to tell them to remove my details from their system as there was not a chance in hell that I would ever place an order with them again since they are so unreliable. They sent me an automated email saying I would be contacted shortly. I heard nothing:mad: I rang CS this morning to find out what is going on there! The lady was very apologetic and admitted they had sent the wrong emails out to people. I have one thing to say to the perfume shop "get your act together before you lose all your customers"

Eek, don't scare me any more, I really want my order to a) arrive and b) be undamaged :(.

The money has definitely come off my card now. The order is coming to work too, so that's yet another hurdle for it to get through....our mail delivery system

At least they don't use YODEL - loads of horror stories about them on the Boots thread...
Less stuff, more life, love, laughter and cats!
Even if I'm on the shopping threads, it doesn't mean I'm buying! Sometimes it's good to just look and then hit the CLOSE button!

If the item was lost or damaged in delivery then it is up to the retailer to refund your payment, they would be unable to claim from Royal Mail as fragrance should not be sent via RM, but that is their problem not ours :)

As for Yodel, one of the posts on the Boots thread was my horror story. I will never order from a company that uses Yodel. To be honest Yodel have been great with my deliveries until my Boots order was supposed to arrive on 2nd and they claimed I was not in to receive the parcel and left a card, both untrue.. I was home all day waiting in especially for my delivery since I tracked it and no attempted delivery or card left.
