Everyone is doing really well. I am just doing the normal rubbish stuff, haven't flung anything extra but am so in the habit now of shredding carp instantly, no piles of it waiting to be done. The big bay windowsill has actually stayed free of carp since I cleaned last week  pleased about that.
Have changed all my bakeware except the two roasting tins, now only got silicone ones which are brilliant, can squidge them up and fold them to store, so now all neat in one box. :T
Made nine fabric hearts for my drawers and wardrobe so have used some fabric remains too, and used up a bag of cotton wool that I had no use for as the stuffing, works well.
Have a HUGE list for things to deal with in the new year so am hopeful this thread is going to continue please OP?
Have a great rest of the day folks and please try to find a few minutes to catch your breath too.Saving 1 animal wont change the world - but it will change the world for that 1 animal

Hi declutterers,
Since my last post, just the usual recycling, rubbish and compost out. More condensing of health info. that I already have a copy of and one free household cleaning product used. Just one garden seed to dry out and that should mean all of them can be stored until next spring. Saturday and Sunday had a good tidy up finishing odd jobs. Some of the original sellable scrap metal was put in my recycling bin whereas the rest will be put away for now. That's all folks for now.0 -

Good Morning  all - Hope the decluttering is going well
.
I've just put out the wheelie bins for the final time at this house - both LARGE Recycling Bins are full to the brim - the Household Waste Bin isn't too bad (never is) - Food Waste Container is full (as usual). All the shredded paperwork/letters/bills etc are sitting in the Garden Waste Bins - and will have to wait for the next tenant to move in, when they'll go out with the grass clippings.
I haven't any more boxes to move at the moment - they've all gone for now - but we need to work our way through sorting / flinging / donating / freecycling / boxing the remaining [STRIKE]junk[/STRIKE]items.
Had to bring 2 large dinner plates BACK from the new place last night - I'd forgotten about needing them for Christmas Dinner :rotfl:. The kitchen is beginning to look like 'mine' - only much tidier :j - with most of my items in it.
I decided on an Asda trip at midnight last night - got there around 12.45 - not a carrot or swede in sight! I asked an assistant when they'd be putting them out, to be told 'We have done - there was a stampede when we opened the doors, and they cleared us out!'. So now need to go back to shopping centre to see if I can get some at the little fruit/veg shop in the main precinct ...................
Apart from that little job - there's just presents to be wrapped today and I'll get a relaxing evening tonight with Midnight Mass later on. One of my Scottish friends is in a choir taking part in a televised Carol Service on Alba TV tonight - so I need to watch that to see if I can spot her.
Mr Turkey is sitting in a very large glass bowl defrosting nicely and I'm going to go and mix my stuffing in a few minutes. Sprouts / Parsnips / Broccoli have been blanched and are in the freezer - I could get the potatoes peeled and into water in pans with lids on. I've a feeling that I've got some carrot & swede mash in takeaway containers 'somewhere' in the freezer but it might take some finding ...............
Right then folks, one more push with decluttering this afternoon and the downstairs will at least be presentable 'just in case of visitors'.
............... and 'just in case' I don't get back on here before tomorrow evening, and
to everybody - here's to 'tidier and more organised times ahead'.

Just like to wish everyone on this thread a very Happy Christmas and hope you enjoy it, whatever you are doing. Hubby and me are having a quiet Christmas... just the 2 of us, doing what we want when we want. I might not even get dressed!!! Got a turkey crown defrosted so that needs to be cooked, will do that tonight as we're going to my daughter's for a family get together in a couple of hours to give the grandchildren their presents
Hubby has even said that if there's not much on TV he wants to watch, he'll start stripping the woodchip wallpaper off the hall, stairs and landing! I told him not to go too mad - that can wait until Boxing Day!!!
Finally managed to wrap the rest of the presents: I decided yesterday to make a Christmas sack for my grandson, with his name cross stitched on it. I'm not known as "Queen of the Last Minute" for nothing!!!
I finished it last night, so then thought I'd better make a bag for granddaughter as well. Hers doesn't have her name on though. Did that this morning, then made another morsbag for a Christmas pressie for sis in law. So, nothing much got done here today except that! So what... there's only the 2 of us. It's only us who have to sit and look at any mess we make, so we're going to have a nice, peaceful, stress-free Christmas Day. Hope everyone has the Christmas they'd like too... xxxx
