A busy day at work,so I'm no planning anything tonight.I did have to put a pair of work shoes in the bin, though.

I've been wandering very slowly through the linen so I'll post those numbers later.
Last year I was a total failure at dealing with the three apple trees in the garden. I gave away as much as I could, left most for the bugs and the compost, and watched the others decay - I just couldn't face eating them. This year I have got the jelly making kit and a whole stack of bottles all ready. Today I collected up all the windfalls and have just finished stewing them ready for eating this week - all nasty bits going to the compost.
So 1 to me, 0 to the bugs!0 -

Six items in CS box, shower gel finished and put in recycling box, and finally emptied the ironing basket, and got it all put away. Unfortunately I then got the washing off the line, and now have another full basket of ironing to do!
Probably won't be doing much tomorrow as it's my birthday, and I'll be busy playing with my new toy, a tablet PC which OH has bought me, then tomorrow night we're going for a few drinks with DS and his GF.

Ok, I've just come back from holiday tonight and I've got loads of decluttering to do.
Can I ask a question? Do we list things that we are really decluttering from drawers, cupboards etc or are we adding empty containers of things that are used etc?
Looking forward to getting started.....loads of washing on the go already0 -
Not been on here in a long while! Whoops!
The past 2 weeks me and mum have been decluttering! Slowly but surely!
Over 40 letters either shredded and recycled or filed away!
Shampoo , conditioner , shower gel bottles recycled!
Glasswear given to friend to carboot
2 ruined (thanks to the dog and her quilt chewing habbit) put in the bin and a bit used for my auntie who uses old material for her costume making!
Like I said doing it slowly but its looking better!NanMias - cyber granddaughter!

I don't include stuff I would normally fling.. like empty shampoo bottles/mouldy fruit etc.. but some do. I also don't count every item that goes in the charity bag.. I just count the bag.. I know some do though.. do what feels right to you!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
KraftyKat I agree with Pigpen ATM I don't list things that I would normally throw away. It is personal preference and if it helps you to keep motivated by listing everything then do what you feel suits you.
I started off well this month but have been slacking over the last couple of days so need to find my mojo and get flinging.
Hope everyone has a lovely day xDeclutter 100 things in August 68/1000 -
Happy birthday Sue14, it sounds like a great day!
junior_j (and mum) 'slowly and surely' - I'm finding that this helps me change the way I view things, and I hope it's building up a good habit. The plus side has to be that it also looks so much better!
Catching up on my listing:
2 cleared areas
5 books to recycling
1 mattress cover to bin
1 suspension file to cs
1 flannel to recycling
1 thin sheet to recycling
2 torn pillow cases to recycling
1 faded curtain to recycling
1 thin towel to recycling
As I've been gathering these things together I realise that I have kept a lot of the things used for packing during my last move. Now I understand why I have them, I can get rid of them. My next move will just have to manage on its own!0
