    Afternoon all!
407-409 - three pots jelly OOD bin
410-413 - four boxes stock cubes OOD bin
414-418 - five pkts crackers OOD bin
419 - big cardboard box to shed for when we clear that out

420 - carrier bag full of junk out of sewing box
421 - box of 50+ plastic food containers bin
422 - cardboard box emptied & added to shed for when we clear that out
423 - old smash tin bin
424-425 - two 25 drawer plastic storage units cs

Sorted out my sewing box last night, looks amazing now, loads of cottons and ribbon all into see-through plastic boxes (old takeaway ones) so I can see what I have and it's all easy to move without unravelling and getting back into a mess. Also, as it's now stored properly, cleared half a drawer in the wall unit of ribbon into sewing box where it should be.

Planning on doing the bottom of the wardrobe tomorrow so should manage to rid bedroom of at least three boxes. Weekend is earmarked for going through all my household files and shredding old stuff. My I have SUCH an exciting life LOL.

Just posted 2 more eBay parcels and am relisting some more. Got a bag of stuff to list but no motivation at the moment, plan to list it tomorrow as have the whole day to myself

Also plan to have a big clear out of socks and pants to add to the 4 bin bags of old clothes for the clothing bank! Going to buy new ones tonight when I go shopping.

Hi everyone, you're all doing very well for July - and it's not over yet!

Have sorted through my fabric stash today and tried to be realistic about what I'm likely to use in the next 20 years! I have sorted out 29 different lengths of fabric for my quilt group/a friend's WI group, but I still have far too much. Still, baby steps - I'll go back to it all in a month's time and see if there's any more I can let go. I've carted most of it back from the US over the past 10 years so I'm reluctant to part with it. I also found out all my unfinished projects - about 10 of them, so I'm not going to make a dent in the fabric stash until I've finished those.

    So.... today's score.....

    84. 29 lengths of fabric - going to quilt group/WI craft group
    85. Bottle of Southern Comfort finished off (hubby)
    86. Bottle of sherry finished off (me)
    87. Patchwork blocks started and lost interest in - fabric recycling bag
    88. Baby clothes for grandchildren now too small - Oxfam bag
    89. Handmade cupcake soap that's lost its smell - homeless shelter
    90. 2 dressmaking patterns - Oxfam bag
    91. Pair Winnie the Pooh slippers too small for granddaughter - Oxfam
    92. TV freegled - picking up tomorrow evening
    93. Sewing machine given to friend on permanent loan.

That's enough for today, don't want to overdo it!!!

Tomorrow is charity shop, homeless shelter and dump run, so all items should be out of the house this time tomorrow.
Keep Calm and Carry On Kondoing

My BIL spends a LOT of time in hotels and *thinks* it his duty to collect all the toiletry stuff to bring home. My sister passes it to me - I look for (and find) useful home for it all - but this sounds perfect - I have 'shaving kits' and 'dental kits' at the moment -with razors and toothbrushed as well as other stuff - can you 'point' me in the direction of a chartity wehich might put surpluss hotel toiletries to good use?

Not been here for ages. Yesterday a friend came over to help me with DD's bedroom clear out and furniture shuffle. DS didn't finish school until yesterday so we had DD to ourselves. We cleared 5 massive sacks of stuff and as the black bins have been emptied today, I can legitimately claim it as out.
Still a long way to go but hey, it's getting there :)

That's my kind of decluttering :D

Welcome merrymary  Sounds like you've made a good start. Usually we list what goes out of the house, whether it's in the bin, to charity shop, ebayed, recycled or whatever. I think it gives you more of a sense of achievement to see the numbers totting up as you get rid of the clutter. But you can do what you like there are no rules, so whatever works best for you, do that!!

loobylou2 you sound angry - hope this is helping you get your lot to pull their weight. Kick some *ss!! :p

    79. large cardboard storage box all broken and saggy - in the paper/card recycle bin
    80. broken jar of chocolate spread - in the bin
    81. pair of DS old shoes - to CS
    82. crate out for reuse by the fruit & veg company
    83. newspapers - to CS for wrapping
    84. shoe box - to CS for packaging breakables
    85. glass to recycle bin

    Still loads to do...
