Hello,
hope you don't mind me posting here, I haven't posted on this thread for ages but lurk quite often. I've had a few days off this week so have tried to make a small dent in the clutter.
1) 32 magazines - Freecycled
2) Broken garden table - tip
3) Broken ironing board- tip
4) Broken stool-tip
5) Whole toilet with broken cistern- tip
6) Assorted rusty metal tins-tip
7) Assorted toileteries used up and bottles recycled
8) 2 broken electric lights- given away for repair
9) Big one this - just had my old car decluttered from the drive.Felt so guilty seeing it being loaded on the lorry, and going off to the scrapyard in the sky. I drove it for 11 years. The £130 the man gave me cheered me up a bit though!
Happy decluttering x0 -
Well all you inspiring people.
I have so far decluttered my bedroom which was the dumping ground of the house.
Started with the wardrobe, then chest of drawers, bedside cabinets and UNDER THE BED!!!!!!
As it's half term I decided to leave the decluttering for a week BUT as I opened the under the stairs cupboard I could smell cat p00.
Now my 2 beautiful cats do try to get in there to sleep as it is warm, full of rubbish and the tumble dryer is in there so extra warmth when I put it on but they are fully house trained so I thought the older one must have had an accident.
So that meant it had to be cleared out to find the p00.
Two hours later and a very decluttered cupboard - 6 bin bags of rubbish, 3 large bags of recycling and 4 very large bags for the CS but NO p00.
I did find the the outlet pipe for the TD had been knocked out of the vent hole which leads outside.
When I went out to put the CS bags in the garage to wait to be delivered on Monday I found a big pile of very stinky cat p00.
I think this is what I could smell through the outlet vent hole!!
Oh well at least it wasn't in the cupboard!Pay as much as you can in 2011- £3688.54/£6000Pay as much as you can in 2012 - £3190.96/£6000LBM - August 2010 - £19202.30Current - August 2012 - £11803.68Paid so far - £7398.620 -
I have started to fill a charity bag that is being collected on Monday, I have one for Tuesday too so hoping to fill them both. They are both for big charities but annoyingly they don't want toys or bric a brac just clothing and textiles.
62) pair of ds old school shoes
63) pair of dd old school shoes
64) ds old belt
65) Toddler reindeer costume
I am counting these as out because they are in the charity bag in the porch so I can't see them0 -
Had a phone call from the hospital this morning to say the main test was normal. So, yay, I don't have to spend the rest of my life on steroids. Just got to wait now until next month for my appointment with the consultant to get the results of the rest of the blood tests.
Another productive day. Been into a couple of Estate Agents and they are coming out on Monday & Tuesday so a bit of breathing space to get the house perfect.
Hit the conservatory today whilst OH did the shed to make more space (everything from the house had ended up in the conservatory so the final step is to the shed.)

 I left the freezer door open yesterday night ... I did try but there is no way I can blame DH for this, it was me
So, we "decluttered" the freezer (fortunately quite empty as I didn't do the big shop today).
Dinner tonight will be ...umm.. a buffet of odd bits and piecesbut ...
92. semi-defrosted freezer debris - mostly left-overs that have become totally unappetising but I was too 'thrifty' to throw away :rotfl:
Ditched in February 92/100I can cook and sew, make flowers grow.0 -
Our council seems to have stopped taking fabric in our recycling bins so they have left a few bits of old clothing and a plastic light sabre. Will put the light sabre in the black bin and take the old clothes to the clothing bank. That's really annoying though because they haven't told us that they won't be collecting clothing any more.Debt: 16/04/2007:TOTAL DEBT [strike]£92727.75[/strike] £49395.47:eek:   £43332.28 repaid 100.77% of £43000 target.MFiT T2: Debt [STRIKE]£52856.59[/STRIKE] £6316.14 £46540.45 repaid 101.17% of £46000 target.2013 Target: completely clear my [STRIKE]£6316.14[/STRIKE] £0 mortgage debt. £6316.14 100% repaid.0

I do have a box in the loft in which I put cards to keep. However, it is only the most meaningful that go in there. Ones that aren't from close people but are attractive I use as bookmarks or frame them and put them on the wall. Others get cut up and the fronts sent to reception class with DS1.Their=belonging to them, There=over there

Three parcels one of which quite large gone to post today. And, I also used two old cardboard boxes as packaging, freeing up even more space.
Nothing other than that, entertaining my toddlers today. They are going to granny's tomorrow for a pantomime and I have plans to declutter the spare room. There's really only a shelf unit and a big hamper full of eb@y bundles that need photo-ing and sorting.
But, I have cleared lots of space in the garage, and that is my eb@y hub, so I might take them down there. It's technically just moving things around, but it does make sense...
Even convinced my mum that decluttering is good for the health. I've not checked but she insists she has sorted her upstairs and feels better for it. I suspect not much has left the house yet. But maybe she's taken the first step. Junk hoarder extraordinaire. :eek:Bossymoo
Away with the fairies :beer:0
