There are two of us, we have a double bed, and a single bed for guests (rarely do we have guests, as getting into the spare room is a challenge and seeing the actual bed under all the rubbish in there is another challenge in itself). I have something like 10 double duvet covers, six double sheets, about 5 single duvet covers, 3 single sheets and at last count something like 40 odd pillow cases. I don't need all those, do I. I need to go through them, find all the sets, and get rid of the rest, don't I.
Gosh I feel under-equiped nowI have a couple of duvet covers for my double, a couple for DD's single, and a spare single for the z-bed for visitors. Plus sheets and pillowcases in similar numbers. They're all fairly old too. Trouble is, whenever I look at the lovely pretty ones in the shops to replace them, they seem so expensive i can't bring myself to spend the money and come away empty-handed. Am I just tight-fisted? It would be so nice to have lots of lovely things to choose from. So actually, tiny_courageous, I'd say keep them all if you have room and enjoy using them!
Still no de-cluttering here, apart from huge amounts of cereal and toast by DS - he's doing stirling work emptying the cupboards :rotfl:

I need a home thats tidy and clutter free. I need a home where we dont have to go searching for things or a home where things get lost. Theres only three of us, this goal should be achievable.
You're right it should be achievable. Don't you think though, that to some people it's just not as important as it is to us? I know if I try to get DS to be tidy (he's an adult, btw) he genuinely can't understand what the fuss is about and looks at me completely baffled. It's as if there's a tidy gene missing.
I'm interested in your choice of words above - the fact that you need a tidy home may be lost on your family so they, too, can't see the importance. I guess you just have to keep plodding on? knowing that we're all right behind you and willing you to succeed.
Good luck with it

WOW is all I can say.... put some beads on ebay, starting bid of £2 or buy it now £6 anyways someone bid £2 so the buy it now was void, sold for £13.43!! not gone yet as i'm off to work now but they'll be gone to their new home in the morning!! Woooo
Done really well on ebay today total sales £44.88!! that was only 4 sales too. Very happy bunny today.
Did declutter a body spray to the toilet that I'm not too keen on so will add that to my sig xx0 -
I've had some totally random items sell on eBay today and got a massive pile of more to relist. Fella wants me to list some more for him now, as does brother and my mum wants to redecorate the house and has no money so I have said I could make her at least £200 on eBay. So yeah I am going to be doing this for a while but I am sure our house will be bare by the time we are finished, with hopefully new carpet and a paintjob and we will be much better off in so many ways!
I've been to docs today and have got really bad bronchitus so more antibiotics and new inhalersStill going to crack on with this though. Just will try not to cough over everything!

Well my Grandmother would have said 3 - one on, one drying and one airing! Thats the method she applied to vests anyway!!:rotfl:
I struggled with storing duvet covers and pillow cases until my very good well organised and a bit OCD ( her term ) friend showed me - Obvious really! Fold cover up and put inside pillow case with any extra pillow cases and sheets that match/ go with the set. Makes an easy square shape to put on a shelf or in a drawer and everything is kept together! I bet I am the only person in the world who didnt do this...........now a complete convert:rotfl::rotfl:Be the change you want to see -with apologies to Gandhi
