Wow, you have all been busy on here.

He keeps every nut, bolt, spring, etc that he has ever set eyes on. The upside is that whenever anything breaks, he can always find just the right bit to mend it, but the downside is that he has a mountain of stuff.

It's a man thing. I sympathise with you Susan as I have my father and husband living in my house and they drive me up the wall with their inane nuts and bolts cluttering everywhere! I try to organise them and have bought loads of "bit boxes" for them, but generally, I find the boxes empty in the shed and the stuff still cluttering up drawers, etc.

Congrats on the new house minuettoallegretto. Congrats also to Ziggy on the new job - it sounds ideal!

I am also a quilt set storage fan having also seen it in a mag a while back. Recently had a big clearout of the linen cupboard, but still have 8 spare clean pillows which I can't part with (there are 4 double beds and three singles in the house but still it is excessive as these are spare!) They are in vacuum bags now in the cupboard.

I have been doing more decluttering:
    - green mens wellies - fc
    - large bag of packaging materials - fc
    - another bag of rubbish from office - bin
    - black sack of shredded bills/papers from office - chicken shed
    - bag of unused christmas cards - charity shop
    - steering wheel lock - fc

I am on the verge of actually seeing the conservatory under all the junk! I am just about to buy a wall mounted boot tidy on ebay to get rid of the wellies that seem to live in the conservatory all year round!

I am now half way through tackling the office. I think there is more to come today!

Finally got some pinking shears so spent an hour last night going through my fabric stash and cutting up the good bits from the bad. Some of the bits were old clothes which may have had hairdye on lol so cut the nasty bits away and they are in the bin

Also posted 4 ebay orders off with recycled packaging

    Takes me to 46/100

Heard yesterday that we have been accepted for the new house - we collect the keys on Friday 17th! So, the next week is going to be full-on packing and chucking - and the kids are off school, so they WILL help, or I won't move their toys!

Back to the packing and chucking - this will take some time.....

Good luck with the new house:T

    Hi all,
Not done much for a few days, still nothing new listed on e*ay, although there is a pile of it to do.
Anyway, my landlord phoned today to say that the owners of the house have decided to spend some money on it, so they are coming round to see us to see what we want doing as a priority and to put a bit of a list together. Very excited about this. We have lived here 6 years, we love the area and its 5 mins from kids school, the house is looking a bit tired now and we were considering looking for something a bit more modern inside, but still within the same area. This will make things so much easier. The pressure will really be on though now to get the garage sorted and the garden done properly. I want to totally redecorate but it will take a while, but with all the tat gone it will be so nice for it to all look fresh.
