In my experience with my mum and dad , my dad only wanted mum to go some where she didnt want to go but he did so he would feel less guilty! It has led to many arguments more so when she has gone.

Do not go some where , where you will be unhappy and uncomfterable. Things like this is where you do what you have done and say

" I do not want to go to this at all , no way will you change my mind , but if you want to go I wont get in your way" If he gets shi!tty there is nothing you can do put continue you as normal :)

It can be embarrassing and slightly humiliating if you find yourself always going to parties and events on your own when you're in a relationship. I've lost count of the times that hubby pulled out of something at the last minute saying "just go and enjoy yourself" only to come home afterwards to find him being a miserable grump because I'd had a good time without him.
