Yay! I've got the house to myself for the day for the first time in months. Mr H and Master H have gone off to a race event (Master working, Mr spectating, although I bet he can't resist getting his one good hand dirty!). I've got a million jobs to do, but I've awarded myself an hour on here, bringing my own diary up to date and catching up with everyone else.
Newlywed Savings Ninja - sorry I'm two months late in replying (:o) but thanks for reading. I see you've not been onto the boards recently but I hope you pop back, particularly as you mentioned waving Cheerleading pompoms for me. I recall someone (Granny or Piq?) having cheerleaders a few months ago and being desperately jealous at the time. And now I've had my chance and missed it
.
VikkiiKawwaii - at least I'm only two weeks late thanking you for reading! Wow, all 44 pages in one go. You should get some sort of an award for that! Hope you drop by again soon
Fortune Smiles - thanks for both your messages. The worst is definitely behind us now (well unless Mr H can't keep his job, that would be worse, but I'm refusing to even consider that for now) and every day life is getting a little bit easier.
Pooh - the 'kids' drive me nuts. I love them so, but sometimes I can't believe that Master H is my child!! His room is an absolute hellhole, so I have decided to just close the door on it and I refuse to enter, other than to dump on his bed everything that he just leaves lying around the house. Then I will just do one big muck-out when he goes back to uni. It doesn't bother him in the slightest. Little Miss was due home tomorrow but she's been offered a week's full time work in her shop job so she will stay away a bit longer as she needs the money.
FlacosFloozie - look at your signature!! 88% paid off! I will be onto your diary soon to see how you've managed it:T

Chev - thanks for taking the time to drop by when you have so much going on in your own life. Hope you are doing OK, I will be checking your diary this morning in the hope of good news
Honey Bear - your businessette is going! Congratulations! I've just done some light stalking of you to see if there are any clues about it in your other posts, but nothing so far! I will stalk harder later today. I see you are Fly-ladying though, I really must get back to that......
Brizzle - I am definitely gonna check on YOUR diary! Since when was your DFD March 2014!!?? Well done, whatever has happened.
PWPS and Granny - thanks for dropping by. For some reason this time the weight loss was really easy! I knew Mr Happy might pile weight on if he wasn't careful because he has been static whereas he is usually active. He was also pretty miserable, so wanted to comfort-eat. So I just decided there will be no sweet/fatty foods in the house. I make sure there are lots of fat-free yogurt and fruit around so neither of us are ever hungry, and most of our meals are healthy so we are well-nourished. My weight just fell off and Mr H has remained the same. Now I just need to keep it up!
Boomfloom - I think I will always come back to my diary. Even though I've gone awol a couple of times now (both times have been when things have got on top of me), it somehow always draws me back in. And it is so lovely to see that people have taken the time to post their good wishes, so thanks
.
Pinot - wow your signature is looking good! I will be checking out your diary later today to see what has been happening with you and your family. Yes, Mr Happy's employer has been brilliant. Financially we have actually been better off while he's been off sick because he has had no petrol costs!!

It's so lovely to see you back and so positive! Healing vibes heading Mr Happy's way and HUGE congratulations on the weight loss. I'm really impressed with your method, too.
Don't we all do a little light stalking? Yes, I am a Flylady and if I hadn't joined that thread the Frog that is the businessette would never have been eaten. Eventually, when some promotional stuff is available I'll PM you so you can see what it is, but I really want to keep my online identity anonymous at the moment. Which reminds me, there's something I must delete from last week's Flylady thread .... wanders off to stalk self ....Better is good enough.0 -
Honey Bear, I will watch my inbox for the promotional material whenever you feel ready
.
Nothing much to report today. While I have been away I have kept tight hold of my purse-strings so things haven't really gone awry, but I have had to MOT and insure BOTH cars (paid total premiums up-front for both) so the debt has only gone down slowly. It is payday on Friday so another sig update due then, but I will have to spend over £200 on balance transfer fees to move some MBNA credit card debt which has reached the end of its interest-free period. This time the transfer fee has increased to 4.5%, but the new interest-free period is 14 months rather than 12 this time, so I suppose it is roughly equal.

Hello Mrs H! How did I miss that you're back?
Piq
It's since I lost that half stone Piq, I'm barely noticeable.
I recently discovered that we can withdraw cashback from TopCashback as Tesco Clubcard points. I think that's brilliant because it means we effectively get twice their value (so double cashback) when Tesco run their twice-yearly double-up scheme. Even more if we spend it on the Tesco Rewards programme. Last week I used my dog insurance cashback of £20, doubled up to £40, to buy a garden bistro set from Tesco. It is reduced on-line to £41.40 so I only had to pay £1.40 cash! I've just picked it up from the store and it is really lovely, quite a bright blue painted metal, two chairs and a small table. Bargain!
No other news, other than I am half dreading payday on Friday. I know I took my eye off the ball this month........LBM Dec 2011. Aimed, but failed, to clear all unsecured debt by Feb 2019. Finally free of unsecured debt 21st May 21!

I was having a downer on Sat morning about my debts and lack of money and went hunting for an inspirational diart and found yours :j
I think what attracted me to the diary was the title - I was hoping Hyacinth would be here :rotfl:
