Love the tummy pelvic exercise plan, funnily me and my friend were discussing this at weekend... I need to add it to my plan haha.
Still haven't watched the ted talk must do that tonight...
Can't remember all my goals and can' be bothered flicking back but think it included:
Washing face: Done last few nights because of cycling next day
Exercise: cycled yesterday and today and did yoga yesterday no weights but ah well
Afrikaans... must listen to my cd
Calorie counting... began again yesterday 2130 but burned 2700 according to fitbit whoop
Goodluck with parental move Happy!Debt: £14,000 now £2169Emergency Fund: 1000/ £1000:j0 -
After consensus on here (thank you ladies) it suddenly hit me of why would I want to go when clearly only birthday girl wants me there... even if it is just because of ex- friend its not kind. So I texted birthday girl and explained how I felt and would like to do something separate. She sent lovely message back saying shes sorry that is situation and we will do something more fun (ironically exactly what you all said haha)
Felt bit down about it all but much perkier this morning, now got a text from one of the girls asking about a lunch break coffee will have to decide if will bring it up then but just gonna see what happens and not overthink it!
I'm so glad you've made the decision not to go, and really, really pleased the birthday girl and you now have a plan to celebrate her day.
Lovely that one of the others texted you to set up a lunch - I'd say she feels sad about you not being invited to the birthday bash and wants you to know she's still your friend. I think that's a fantastic outcome and it's entirely your choice as to whether you say anything, but as actions speak louder than words in my humble opinion - she's already told you she likes you and is uncomfortable about you being excluded. I think I'd leave it there unless she brings it up.This weekend has been completely mad and I've no idea if I've kept to my targets. I've probably done some, so let's give me the benefit of the doubt and I'll start again tomorrow. Of course you have.
Saturday was spent moving trees/saplings that had to be chopped because they were growing in ridiculous places next door - a couple were literally growing through the barn walls. We now have tons of logs drying out to be free fuel for the next couple of years. We had a bonfire for the smaller branches and it was very physical work - my fitbit registered 25,000 steps that day and I was carrying heavy logs for half of those! We were going out at night and I had to have a nap and two ibuprofen before I could even climb in the shower! WOW!!! You're excused fitbit stuff for the rest of the month after such a mammoth weekend. Hats off to you and it's hardly 'free' fuel - it was jolly hard earned! Well done on making the barn safe again.
Yesterday the electrician spent all day repairing/replacing our external wiring. The good news is our water pump and lights now work. The bad news is it cost £537!!! Completely essential work though and we were very impressed with the electrician and will use him again. Cheap at the price to get you connected again, although it's a Grrrr that it happened at all. Really pleased you found an electrician you like. Handing over money to people you like is makes it so much more bearable.
Tomorrow I'm taking my parents to sign contracts for their move, so I don't think I'll be resting any time soon
I hope the contracts go according to plan. When's completion due?Better is good enough.0 -
Five fruit and veg a day: Sultanas, courgette. Total fail.
Lights out by 11.30pm Tick. Didn't help much, as I knew it wouldn't because I had so much caffeine I hardly slept at all.
Make [STRIKE]100[/STRIKE] 1 sales cold calls by 31.1.17. Finished.
One random act of kindness or public service a day Picked up rubbish.
Record something lovely that happens every day so that at the end of the year when I [STRIKE]empty the jar[/STRIKE] flick back through the book I'll remember all the good things that happened A friend and I went to Tavistock for a girly shopping trip (which didn't happen because we spent the whole afternoon in a really nice cafe, talking). We then went for a very gentle stroll around the shops, found a great new one, and then found a gallery that had a piece by my favourite, favourite sculptor in it and I've decided after wanting one of her foxes for twenty years that I'm going to have one. I'm spending all of the money saved by not drinking over the last year on it and I'm absolutely thrilled. It's the first time I've realised I'm allowed to do lovely things for myself and it will make me laugh every time I see it for the rest of my life. Pure indulgence.
After 7th January cut out sugar until 1st February. Tick, although it's totally worth getting the spoon out when it's my own. Yum. 100ml of Lucy's marvellous big-boned marmalade ice cream needs finishing up, too ....
After I teepee my teeth I will electric toothbrush behind the two front lower teeth. Tick again and I did the whole lot again, too. Awething. I'm so glad you found the Ted Talk made sense and worked for you yesterday. How's it gone today? When I have time I'm going to investigate his Behaviour Grid because like Belle's 100 Day Challenge you can sign up, for free, and be a part of his research project. All in favour of seeing how that works.
OH's mother taught him to cook and sew. He's utterly crap at sewing - I found pins in the unhemmed hem of a pair of curtains that had been hanging for ... ooooh, five years once and when I took him on the Orient Express for dinner a looooong loooong time ago he had to wear a bulldog clip in his DJ trousers because they were too big for him .... but he's got half a dozen meals he can punch out without thinking about, enjoys cooking, makes marmalade and is an all round good man. It's never too late to teach your OH to cook, is it?
Today my OH is tucked up in bed with a cold and a bad back and is finally accepting that he's better off up there nursing the cold and with a hottie on his back because he shifted a sofa and a very heavy chair over the weekend and can hardly move. I've dosed him up and gone for supplies. OH Never Never Never gets ill and doesn't do Man 'Flu. We've got two phone lines in the house so he can ring me when he wants stuff, too.Better is good enough.0 -

You deserve a bit of indulgence, and if you work out the daily cost of that pleasure over all the coming years it will be teeny. And a much better use of the money than buying liver-poison.

It did look interesting but it disappeared before I had chance to study it. When it's not so late, I will check it out.

I've tried a bit harder today:
- Money Bought some new work shoes in the Blue Cross sale. Reiker ones, very sensible and comfy, down to £36. I will wear them loads and loads and the will last years.
- Healthy eating Got my five F & V but then came home and scoffed 125g of chocolate without even breathing. Oops.
- Admin The solicitor trip counts I think. If not, I failed.
- Contact with parents In bucket-loads!
- Keep house tidy Mr H has been home most of the day so it's all taken care of.

Hi all
2200 sounds low Happy.... fitbits aren't great at working it out if you are doing weights of something you have to pretty much tell the app you are doing that for it to calculate properly. 2700 is for a very active day, cycling to and from work, yoga and being on my feet at work a lot. yesterday was 2400 and the only difference was I was at my desk a lot more. If I don't cycle or do anything extra and just at my desk its normally about 2000 calories burned.
Glad your parents move is going along nicely
Honey.... Did I see the F word Fail in your post??
Still haven't had a moment to watch the ted talk must get on that... or listen to my Afrikaans cd so must also get on that
But exercise done and make up has been off and calories countedI'm not eating any more than I used to and doing way more exercise its starting to make sense where this extra weight came from haha
Coffee with the friend today will see if she brings up the birthday meal or not, I would be surprised if she never does as somehow I think it would make her more uncomfortable and I'm 99% sure she wouldn't have been involved in arranging it so I don't feel as hurt by her as some of the others. Or maybe I'm biased because I like her and her bf more than the others hahaDebt: £14,000 now £2169Emergency Fund: 1000/ £1000:j0 -

- Money Bought some new work shoes in the Blue Cross sale. Reiker ones, very sensible and comfy, down to £36. I will wear them loads and loads and the will last years. Excellent investment. Buying shoes seems to get a lot harder as we get older.
- Healthy eating Got my five F & V but then came home and scoffed 125g of chocolate without even breathing. Oops. Same here, so
- Admin The solicitor trip counts I think. If not, I failed. Of course it counted.

Honey.... Did I see the F word Fail in your post?? Yes. Very occasionally I have been known to fail at something, and at other times it's a work in progress and they're fine. Totally different things ....
Still haven't had a moment to watch the ted talk must get on that... or listen to my Afrikaans cd so must also get on that The Ted Talk would be a lot less like work, and it would give you the motivation to listen to the Afrikaans cd too! Win:win, really.
But exercise done and make up has been off and calories countedI'm not eating any more than I used to and doing way more exercise its starting to make sense where this extra weight came from haha Serious progress, and you've identified what caused the weight gain. Bonus.

I hope the coffee meet up goes well and you both enjoy it. We all, very occasionally in our lives, are confronted by the realisation that we're lucky enough to belong to a social group that there might be people in it who we don't have a huge amount in common with. Very, very occasionally we have a bit of a weeding session and the energy vampires go out of our lives. It's part of life. Uncomfortable, but in the end we live a more balanced life because we end up spending our time with people who either are real friends, or who have the potential to become real friends. The rest are aquaintances and they have their place but they're not, at the end of the day, that significant in our true happiness. It sounds as though you are going through a weeding process. It'll all work out in the end, because it always does.Better is good enough.0 -
Five fruit and veg a day: Sultanas, veggie curry. Just as well I've got loads of it in the freezer.
Lights out by 11.30pm Tick thank goodness.
Make [STRIKE]100[/STRIKE] 1 sales cold calls by 31.1.17. Finished.
One random act of kindness or public service a day Dealing with something I'm not familiar with, so making phone calls to find out how best to approach this. Plus, waiting on OH, as Happy says.
Record something lovely that happens every day so that at the end of the year when I flick back through the book I'll remember all the good things that happened OH's appreciation.
After 7th January cut out sugar until 1st February. Oh dear. This would be so much easier if OH hadn't given me some chocolate I particuarly like for Christmas. Poor Happy, not liking marmalade icecream. You're missing out.
After I teepee my teeth I will electric toothbrush behind the two front lower teeth. Not a tick. Far too tired yesterday after a lost night's sleep and OH's needs along with everything else.
BJ Fogg's Behaviour Grid is here and it includes a useful introduction and linkies for fuller explanations for anyone interested. I haven't had time to read up about it yet but it's been open on my laptop for a couple of days ready for that moment.

Poor Happy, not liking marmalade icecream. You're missing out. You can't like the chocolate THAT much if you've still got it a month later. That would never happen in this house. And marmalade is just awful, in whatever form. Jam's where it's at.
After I teepee my teeth I will electric toothbrush behind the two front lower teeth. Not a tick. Far too tired yesterday after a lost night's sleep and OH's needs along with everything else. So did you teepee and not brush? Or not tepee either? Personally I've drunk lots and lots of tea but only remembered the secret squeezes a handful of times. So much for my purple span behaviour change!

I did not know that, thank you. I've had my Fitbit ages now and I've always intended to read the instructions but never quite got round to it. Mine says I've burnt 1606 today which is probably about right because I've been home-working, thus mainly sat on my arris.

Stressy day. The solicitors rang to say we need to complete the sale & purchase next Tuesday or one party is dropping out. Might be a bluff but we aren't in a position to risk it so everything has been brought forward a week. I feel somewhat bullied! Anyway, it will work out because these things always do
- Money No spends
- Healthy eating Any F & V consumed were purely accidental. It's been 90% stress eating and comfort food
- Admin Oh god yes
- Contact with parents virtually non-stop
- Keep house tidy ha ha ha ha ha NO!
