Stressy day. The solicitors rang to say we need to complete the sale & purchase next Tuesday or one party is dropping out. Might be a bluff but we aren't in a position to risk it so everything has been brought forward a week. I feel somewhat bullied! Anyway, it will work out because these things always do
You're right, it will and in six weeks time you'll remember that this happened but you will have coped and it will all be over, sorted, dealt with and your parents will be settled in with a mountain of organising to do which will occupy them gainfully for quite a long time.
- Money No spends Well done.
- Healthy eating Any F & V consumed were purely accidental. It's been 90% stress eating and comfort food
Sometimes we need a lot of junk food because it's the only way we can keep functioning. I rather think there's something in all that fat and sugar that acts like caffeine but doesn't keep us awake at night. There is, of course, absolutely no scientific validity to my theory but it's a fact of life that when we're stressed we eat carp and we keep going, so there must be something in it.
- Admin Oh god yes Makes up for the days when you hadn't got time to do any, so on balance you're doing superbly.
- Contact with parents virtually non-stop Tick, then.
- Keep house tidy ha ha ha ha ha NO!

Five fruit and veg a day: Sultanas, lots of veggie curry.
Lights out by 11.30pm Tick thank goodness.
Make [STRIKE]100[/STRIKE] 1 sales cold calls by 31.1.17. Finished.
One random act of kindness or public service a day The Co-op at the bottom of the road seems to be attracting rough sleepers who are very young and I'm really concerned about them. Fortunately we have an excellent local charity that provides brillliant support, and a pathway that works for those that are ready to accept their help. I just needed to bone up on the practical things I can and should be doing because giving them money isn't going to change anything.
Record something lovely that happens every day so that at the end of the year when I flick back through the book I'll remember all the good things that happened Rather a slow day here with OH laid up. He must be getting better - he's now refusing to take medication because he says it makes him feel carp. Nothing to do with feeling ill, is it? Honestly, Men!
After 7th January cut out sugar until 1st February. You don't realise the vast quantities I have .... And I do a rather luscious jam ice cream, too. My favourite would be Strawberry, Raspberry and Blueberry. Double yum.
After I teepee my teeth I will electric toothbrush behind the two front lower teeth. Fortunately teepeeing my teeth is such an ingrained habit I can't not do it, but the electric toothbrush - not so much.
I still haven't had time to check out the background information on the grid either, Happy, but I rather suspect that's pure laziness on my part whereas you have an excellent reason.

Morning Happy! I imagine you are run off your feet, so I hope all is going well, at least.
Five fruit and veg a day: Sultanas, veggie curry. Probably not, yesterday.
Lights out by 11.30pm Not a tick.
Make [STRIKE]100[/STRIKE] 1 sales cold calls by 31.1.17. Finished. Three follow up emails/calls made to last year's people.
One random act of kindness or public service a day Not a tick but a couple of things done in preparation for today, which will be informed ticks.
Record something lovely that happens every day so that at the end of the year when I flick back through the book I'll remember all the good things that happened Another rather slow day, although we were invited to someone's very informal low key birthday do, so I think that counts.
After 7th January cut out sugar until 1st February. Nope.
After I teepee my teeth I will electric toothbrush behind the two front lower teeth. Tick. I've been TeePeeing, so that habit is completely ingrained thank goodness, but it's the electric toothbrush I seem to be able to skip, even after all this time. Anyway, back on track.Better is good enough.0 -

I agree, giving money is unlikely to help. In weather like this, food and warm clothing is invaluable but, as you're obviously aware, hunger and cold aren't generally the biggest problem. Good that you have a local charity that can help and sometimes the best you can do is alert that charity to where they might target their resources.

Yeah, he's right, I blame all those doctors and chemists

Of course it counts, and all the more so for being low key and informal - you were invited because they wanted you there, not because it was expected.

Nodding off in my chair here after a hard day's graft, made even harder by a sleepless night thanks to Happy Dog constantly needing to go outside to perform sickness and diarrhoea. She started at 2am (about half an hour after I'd finally fallen asleep) and her last performance was about 4pm (about an hour before we got home from decorating, so all over her bed
). Hope we don't need a vet, but she seems quite settled now.
We are doing OK with my parents' decorating and packing. There are a gazillion people to advise of their move, and they all want to hear about it by phone rather than email. Unfortunately they've all been experiencing unusually high call volumes for the last two days. Luckily my call is important to them, so maybe I'll get through on Monday. Frustrating, but if I wasn't attached to a phone line I would still be painting, so hey!

Hello, and thanks for the postings
Honey, I hope you're feeling better, and if not I at least hope OH is well enough to return your favours. I imagine you've caught his lurgy?
My parents moved house today and thankfully it went well but I'm absolutely knackered. It's been a mad few days and we've achieved the almost-impossible thanks to the ridiculously hard work of our family and OHs. I feel very proud to be part of itThere's still lots of work to do, but they're in and very happy.
Target-wise it's not been perfect but better than usual. I'm off to bed now because I've got brain-mush, but tomorrow is February and there will be new targets to reach for!LBM Dec 2011. Aimed, but failed, to clear all unsecured debt by Feb 2019. Finally free of unsecured debt 21st May 21!

Thank you for the healing vibes wishes. I'm still hors de combat and Mr Bear has decided not to go to London as arranged, but to stay home and look after me. I heart Mr Bear.
I'm so glad the move went well, Happy, and it's hardly surprising you're exhausted.Better is good enough.0
