Bless you for remembering - two excellent grades, one slight disappointment and one couldn't give a stuff as he's dropping it but decent enough to tell grandparents. He's come out a bit lower than he thought but that doesn't seem to be unusual when we talk to others so its fine. He's on track for what he wants where he wants so that's all good.
And OH will be fine assuming I let him live that long!LD 12.25 £1600.00/£0700.00 Fn £274.00 LTFn £525 LLTFn £300

:hello: Morning all!
Update for yesterday...
1) To have 20 NCDs - None eaten so now on 13 NCDs for August :j.
2) To walk an average of 10,000 steps per day over each week (so 70,000 total for each week) - Just under 4,000 yesterday bringing my total for the week to 63,795, an average of 9,113 a day. The weekend let me down.
3) To put my light out by 11pm every night including weekends - Light out at 11.00pm :j.
4) To lose 5lbs over the rest of the month - The results are in, a whole 1lb off. Just another 4lbs to go by the 1st September. Doable I guess. I'm not weighing in again until then.

Hello everyone.
Well done dolphin!
Congrats on your kids results Joey... half my friends seemed to have breakdowns doing Alevels and said even the last year of uni was much easier!
Got the card sorted... got a Tesco card which is no fee 0% balance transfer for 2 years so moved it on to that so should just have this months interest to pay phewww the other card only had 6 months left 0% so would have had to try move it then anyway.
Cigarettes - bought roll ups for the week and have been making them very small had about 13 each day but probably with about 1/2 the tobacco of normal cigarette so im counting this as progress (and a lot cheaper)
Biking - Done on Friday then had very lazy weekend with lots of sofa time and cookies because of the miserable weather
Calories - erm see above
Yoga 3x a week.. did home session at weekend and lunchtime class Friday making it 4 for last week!
This week main focus is tightening up the healthy eating again and making sure I don't go above the 13 mini roll up cigsDebt: £14,000 now £2169Emergency Fund: 1000/ £1000:j0 -
Thanks JVR He studied really hard so it wasn't knowledge that was the issue, but it may well have been technique in the exam. He's a survivor and doesn't let things that he can't change get under his skin, wish I was more like that on occasion.
Can I suggest that you make 12 mini cigarettes in 5 days time, and then 11 5 days after that - or whatever but a reduction and not waiting a week to do it. Sort of ganging up on yourself.
I have been eating too much self-indulgent holiday food and having too many glasses of wine recently so have just this weekend started doing this to myself. Went out for coffee with a girlfriend on Sat and was going to have large latte and muffin, and shocked myself by ordering the very good americano with milk. Thoroughly enjoyed the treat, cheaper and better for me. Yesterday went to deliver keys back to another friend and she offered prosecco and a bowl of crisps whilst we had a natter and I had half a glass - again still a treat and fewer calories. To be fair, I knew that I was having roast beef and a large glass of Malbec when i got home (strictly for Tesco Orchard purposes you understand) but that was the point, I didn't need another treat when I was having one anyway.
I appreciate that cigarettes aren't treats as such but the habit or rather the casual mindless taking of treat/smoking is the thing to change.LD 12.25 £1600.00/£0700.00 Fn £274.00 LTFn £525 LLTFn £300

Just rang the CC people and they are going to refund the interest I paid
I had a charge for going over my balance (oh used card not realizing it was full) so they had stopped my interest free. Hate calling banks but just did it on my lunch break and feeling very pleased with myself. interest refunded and 0% back in place!

Joey - I'm impressed with anyone that survives alevels I managed to avoid them and do an access course to go to uni.
I think your right a lot of my smoking is mindless or from boredom going to bring some nice fruit teas into work and when I want a break go make that before just heading for a cigarette and same at home even just leaving them out of reach at home would probably help (wow I am lazy)Debt: £14,000 now £2169Emergency Fund: 1000/ £1000:j0 -

Morning Dolphin, you are good to keep on with your targets.
Today DS2 and I are going into the office with a couple of boxes and a bin bag (or 10) so that should result in lots more stuff leaving the house. OH is still out of commission for a at least another week if not longer so the stuff may not physically leave but it will help me feel we're making progress.
