jvr - I believe that if you have a look at the detailed part of the statement, it should list the two amounts separately. It should say balance transfer of £x amount at x% interest and purchases of £x at x% interest. Or something like that.

If you can't figure it out then I would just ring the credit card provider and ask them how much you are been charged interest on. I believe that it's quite normal that any payment you send nowadays comes off the balance of the highest interest balance first so you should be able to pay it off first.

Hi Dolphin, and Honey and Happy
Sorry not to post. RL is being a little time-consuming at the minute, exam results due tomorrow and OH having some surgery and another family member also in hospital - nothing too drastic (fingers firmly crossed) just busy-making. Also trying to get both DSs ready for school but unobtrusively so no-one notices - failing obviously!

Morning everyone - sorry Dolphin, didn't mean to leave you on your own but OH had an unexpected surgery last week and is having to stay bed-bound. Not sure who this is hurting more, him or me as he's not a patient patient. All signs are promising, it wasn't life threatening, so it's just a matter of waiting for things to improve and he can go back to normal in about a week or so. If I don't smother him with a pillow first.
Targets have gone out of the window - car is stuck elsewhere for a few days and I don't want to be creating dust/mess when I'm trying to keep places he goes very clean. Its actually frustrating me but hopefully means that I'll still have the impetus to get it finished when he is fully recovered.
Hope you got your card sorted JVR, well done for keeping on Dolphin and I think the Lympix have put paid to everyone's sleeping patter. Hi, Honey and Happy - hope you're both doing well.

Hey joeyjimbles, sorry to hear about your OH's unexpected surgery, hope he recovers quickly, for your sake as well as his :).

Hope the exam results were ok? My niece got mixed results for her AS Levels but should have good enough grades to justify carrying on with her A Levels although maybe not in her favourite subject which would be a huge disappointment. She is going to have to wait and see what they say at college but there were a few tears despite getting really good grades in her other subjects.
