    Update for yesterday...

    1) To have 14 NCDs - Loads of carp eaten so still on 9 NCDs for July. There are 7 days to the end of July so surely I could achieve another 5 NCDs if I put my mind to it. I am feeling quite motivated today so I think it's possible.
    2) To walk an average of 10,000 steps per day over each week (so 70,000 total for each week) - Rubbish day again, almost 5,000 steps. That gives me a total for last week of 64,642, an average of 9,234 so not far off I guess. The lazy weekend really let me down there.
    3) To put my light out by 11pm every night including weekends - Light out at 11.35pm.

Well done Dolphin, you are doing well. I'm thinking up a few targets for August - I have a few frogs/elephants that need eating and I need to just get on with it.

Well done on that Dolphin - 3 out of 3, though shame about the last one, sleep is so important. I keep waking up around 4am - its my trigger time - and with the warmer nights I'm struggling to get comfortable enough to fall back off to sleep, so I feel your pain.

Thanks joeyjimbles, I managed to give myself a tension headache yesterday by stressing about something completely insignificant (as you do) so I switched my light out a little bit earlier last night and then had a lie-in until 8am this morning. The headache has almost gone but still a bit niggly so I'm going to try and get to bed earlier tonight too.

The good news is that the holiday for September is now booked and the travel insurance is sorted. Our first holiday abroad for 6 years and I am so excited. Just over 7 weeks to go. :j:j:j

    Update for yesterday...

    1) To have 14 NCDs - None eaten so now on 11 NCDs for July :j.
    2) To walk an average of 10,000 steps per day over each week (so 70,000 total for each week) - Not as much as I would have liked, just under 8,000 steps, but still ahead of schedule because of the amount of steps that I did on Monday :j.
    3) To put my light out by 11pm every night including weekends - Light out at 10.40pm :j.

Hope you are well, HappyNow and Honey Bear?

I know how you feel, I was listening to the rain last night and bothering about a leaky window - which didn't let in at all as I discovered when I went to check it at 3am! What I was going to do if it had been leaking I don't know, anyway mastic is now on my shopping list for the weekend.

I know joeyjimbles, isn't it ridiculous how we can spend so much time thinking about trivial things at 3am and giving them more importance that we would in the light of day .

    Update for yesterday...

    1) To have 14 NCDs - None eaten again so now on 12 NCDs for July :j. I hope that I can keep it up.
    2) To walk an average of 10,000 steps per day over each week (so 70,000 total for each week) - Again not as much as I would have liked, just under 9,000 steps, so I am going for a long walk today if the rain holds off.
    3) To put my light out by 11pm every night including weekends - Light out at 10.40pm again :j alhough no lie-in today :(.

Ooh go you Dolphin, and the walking too. I've been doing well on that but only because I picked up a new freelance project and there are roadworks all around the major supermarkets so I've been walking to them. Fortunately the samples I'm buying are very small this time - I apparently walked 11 miles yesterday between the big supermarkets and getting a new swishy haircut.
Didn't manage to take anything to the charity shops yesterday so need to make it up over the next few days.

It was quite fun yesterday, less so today as it is raining and pretty miserable out there. I'm only likely to do about 3 miles today and only that if I stop watching cr*p tv shows and go out. I must be watching one of those channels aimed at a certain age as all the adverts are for stairlifts, life insurance and denture adhesive!
