I'm not going to set any formal targets for the first half of Suptember but I will try and be good especially now that I seem to have got in to the habit of moisturising (phew, took some effort though). I will be cheering on from the sides with my pompoms though :j. Good luck!0

Well, it was a wet bank holiday Monday so I have read right through your diary. Interesting reading, you have done so very well paying down your debt, but I can understand where you are coming from.
We moved in June into a 'supported' bungalow.......thanks to a reasonable rent I am in the position that I can pay off the debt we incurred moving.
I did a complicated transfer from one card to another and then an amount from the second card back to the first in order to get 0% deals, one for 6 months and the other for 15 months. Paying £400 a month between the two cards with a fair wind it should all be paid off by Easter next year. It will be so good to have money to spend on ourselves again.
I have booked a cheap holiday in a caravan on Suffolk for a week in late April. We did not get away this year due to OH coming out of hospital just the day before we were due to go. I was so thankful I had paid for cancellation insurance and we got most of the money back.
I will be watching your progress.................0 -
Back in the game!
- No computer after 9.00pm; Done.
- Lights out by 11.30pm; I switched it off at 11.03, and I have no idea why I was so tired, but I just couldn't keep my eyes open to read. Very frustrating, I love reading in bed.
- Five fruit and veg a day; Dates, tomatoes, red pepper, peas, mushrooms
- 15 minutes flying a day, sticking to the new schedule: Monday: Dusting/dewebbing; Tuesday: Kitchen; Wednesday: Floors; Thursday: Bath/shower room; Friday: Windows/Paintwork; I've had to re-rder this, because I had the kitchen and the bath/shower rooms on successive days. That's never going to happen. However, I'm now going to have to do one or the other today having done floors yesterday, so just *yuk*
- Drink two glasses of water a day, on top of the 4 fruit teas and at least a pot of decaff coffee. Forcing them down and looking forward to having more energy. I think it's sort of working.
Better is good enough.0 -

I will be watching your progress.................. Debt free by Easter, that must be a lovely feeling, well done. I won't be able to say that until September 2018
. I love doing the 'credit card shuffle' you mention - it's so satisfying. I have no idea how much I have paid in interest over the years (probably just as well - I'd be sobbing) but I juggle money around every few months now to keep it to a minimum. Even then it was £150 last month, and this month will be more. Ah well, no point me moaning, it serves me right for getting into this mess

Enjoy your time off, especially the nights away, but remember that just because you're not posting doesn't mean you can stand around eating loads of cake and not moisturising - we ARE watching!joeyjimbles wrote: »I've done 15 days on MFP so far and it definitely helps keep me accountable. I even turned down a potential dinner invitation yesterday because I know that if I go I will want to thoroughly enjoy myself and throw calories and caution to the wind and would rather not go if I feel restricted (I've been back and forth on this one but feel happier just not bothering). Its only two weeks but so far, so good.
We've got a family meal on Saturday and I'm feeling like you - I'd rather not go than either mess up my MFP or feel deprived. I can't miss it though because it's for my parents and I'm driving (and not paying!) so I shall just eat plenty of vegetables and hope no-one notices.LBM Dec 2011. Thanks, I'll do my best to enjoy the break. I'll definitely try and keep up with the moisturising but can't make any promises on the cake eating. Remember, I will be at home most of the time so I'll be watching too
!
I'm only on day two and I'm already eyeing up the biscuits! I think maybe 1600 calories was a little ambitious, but I suppose the beauty of MFP is that if I REALLY can't resist I could always go for a run or bike ride to earn the calories. Now there's an appetite suppressant if ever there was one!
:rotfl: That would definitely work as an appetite suppressant for me.0 -

I'm going to join in if that's OK. So, bathroom today......

I think drinking water is habit-forming and somehow I've let the habit drop. When I stopped focussing on it I found my lips went rubbery and I felt dehydrated. There's a new (well, unless I missed it last time) category on MFP for water drunk and I am aiming to get four per day minimum. So far I've done three both days.

So.... two days into Suptember and going strong.
Finances Spent £3 on a cream cake for Miss Happy on Tuesday, when she came home upset and exhausted after her first day at school (teacher training, not pupil!), worried that she's not up to it. I didn't partake of the cream cake :Abut she really needed to comfort-eat that day. Yesterday was much better apparently and she's looking forward to today. Yay! Wednesday's only spent was when Mr Happy spent £17 on tap parts. It means that hot water now comes out of every tap except the bath, but at least the bath taps look normal now and no-one ever used it anyway. We're all showerers, so I don't care if it never gets mended. No other spends.
MyFitnessPal. Loving it and keeping within the calories. 1459 on Tuesday and 1563 yesterday. I think it's all in the planning. I'm trying to make it healthy as well as low-calorie so getting my five a day F & V is built-in.LBM Dec 2011. Aimed, but failed, to clear all unsecured debt by Feb 2019.
