I've started "couponing" this year, probably around 6 months ago and love it. Had some great, great sucessess thanks to the coupon thread. Must a saved a good few hundred pounds and actually have no stigma at all using coupons, in fact I feel like I'm printing off money every time I print a coupon. They are a form of payment, exactly like £ coins and notes.
I started off gingerly using a coupon or two at a time and now try and max as much as possible, especially with the PDF coupons - only limit is stock availability and date of expiry.
GO FOR IT.

Same here I started this year and have saved a fair bit. The best way I find is to buy whats on offer with coupons and use £xxx off wys £xxx. some problems with Trouts but as I'm over 6 foot(male) I stand up for myself its a case of MANAGER!!:eek:2015 wins £4.00 not mse:(

Sometimes this happens, depends on store and till operator. Sometimes in ASDA the operators have to get authorisation for lots of coupons.
I used 6 coupons in one go today in Tesco (lovely till op) and no issues at all. As long as they are for the right products, you should be OK - mine nearly were.
I have techniques now which help and only a very few issues. If I'm using a genuine coupon for the correct product and get refused, I simply walk away and leave all the shopping to be cancelled and put back at THEIR convenience. Remember, they get back the FULL amount from the manufacturers, it's no loss to them.

It is magical, please have a good read of page 1 - most of what you need is there. Lots of help, don't be afraid to ask.
Good luck.

I joined that thread too, but am still confused. Every time I consider a coupon I look at the supermarket own brand and it nearly always seems to be cheaper so I only buy those and very rarely buy brand products. Will it be cheaper than this , using coupons for branded products? The ones I ve seen have been ,say, for 20p off a Goodfellas pizza or 40p off Robinsons Barley water when the supermarket blackcurrant squash tastes the same. Keep feeling I must be missing something.....0

Best gains New Customer is when the item is reduced and combined with a coupon ...cheap.
As with Glenfiddich, down to £20 minus £2 as on coupon thread and as I did Chitsmas Eve the Co-op £2 off £10 con ditional spend. So £16 for Malt whisky normally selling at £30'ish.
And recently Honey Shreddies £1.OO offer in store and a £1 printed off coupon.
And Campbells Condensed soup FREE with coupon.
And before that SPAM... FREE
And like you say normal discounted brands are often more than , say, Tesco Value. A learning process0
