I did a stint as a barmaid, and even with marked glasses, there were always endless debates as to whether the head of the beer was obscuring the fact that the liquid was about a millimetre (possibly, in a good light and with a magnifying glass) below the line.

Never was so much fuss made about size as there was with men and their beer.

Who said size didn't matter?

You can tell a lot about a woman by her hands..........for instance, if they are placed around your throat, she's probably slightly upset. ;)

I thought the other reason for markings on the pint glasses was to show that the glass is made to uk/eu standards (and not the cheap glass that shatters after a few uses).

I got a pint of bitter from a club near me....the head was HALF a pint...but she did ask if i wanted it topping up i could (arent they generous)
Smile and be happy, things can usually get worse!
