I have seen some knitted fingerless gloves that have a mitten bit over the top of them so that you can flip it back when you need to, without having to take the gloves off. Does anybody know what they are called or have a pattern for something like this?

That's beautiful, can I ask where you did the class? I'm in Aberdeenshire and have been trying to find some good craft classes. There is only lacemaking here.x

. Do you ever go on Ravelry, you need to register if not. They are lots of patterns and some are free.

whoops, i was on ebay and my finger slipped. I'm now waiting for delivery of 100 bells (same ones from a few posts up), 100 filigree beads and 25 metres of ribbon off cuts. Tee hee hee! You are all a bad influence!

I'll have to try that, problem is I have no idea how to buy on eBay so my daughter orders for me Lol.

She has just ordered some vinyl from eBay for the Jingle all the way frames.

now that IS something i could teach you:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

    its very easy
and you can go through a cashback site as well, so technically you are making money:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

i buy a LOT from china, ribbons/beads/findings etc etc for pence delivered
and the only one time i had a problem, they sorted it out VERY swifly (and thats out of over a thousand transactions:o)

takes about 3 weeks for delivery but the savings are worth it
it means i always have plenty of things to be getting on with while i wait for the next things coming
i buy material from america as well, so long as you keep it under the tax threshold, you get nice material, different than you can get here, and cheap (even with shipping), and have always found the american sellers SO nice:D

Love this idea Seth's Gran. Are you going to give it a go? It would also work well with Christmas finger puppets - father christmas, snowman, angel, reindeer, etc!!

Thanks Midnight! My daughter lives in Texas so I do sometimes get her to send me fabric. She is an amazing crafter and has great taste so I send her a few links then she shops for me. Jo-Ann is great for searching for fabric wants when they have a sale on.

Not sure if I will make the finger puppet roll but it was worth showing others. I guess I could buy the Ikea finger puppets rather than knit them. I am an experienced knitter but these are fiddly
