Re Samsung and HTC interfaces and Android.

It's my understanding the HTC's Sense interface was once noticeably better than Samsung's TouchWiz, but now TouchWiz has caught up with Sense.

In it's self the manufacturers interface is no longer a big issue, hence me being swayed to leave HTC and opt for a Samsung Galaxy Note when I upgrade...

...either way, the Market has loads of free apps which will make using which ever phone you end up choosing a pleasure.

I personally would never touch any Samsung product again, the build quality is shocking and the aftercare service non existent . I have a HTC desire for nearly 2 years with no real problems battery not the greatest but thats about the only problem i can think of.

I am of the complete opposite point of view .

Its should be noticed that there are also many complaints of late regarding HTC its build service etc .

the build quality of the SGS2 is miles better than the sensation, even though the sensation has better quality materials, the SGS2 fits together solidly and there are no creeks or flimsiness, whereas the sensation the volume buttons are very washy and the phone just doesn't feel like a premium handset.

also the 1.2GHz dual core Exynos CPU of the SGS2 is a superior processor than the 1.5GHz dual core Snapdragon of the sensation, and this means that the interface 'hangs' far less often.

also HTC have had a bit of a bad rap of security vulnerabilities in their phones, I don't know if that would affect your choice.

so for me the SGS2 all the way

unless you bought the phone direct from samsung then you don't get aftercare from samsung, you get it from the shop you bought it from

I don't know if 'aftercare' is something special, but if a phone comes with the manufacturer's warranty (24 months for Samsung phones) then it's up to the customer to decide whether to deal with the retailer or the manufacturer if the handset develops a fault.
