Strange strange organisation

It's me again. I know I need to grow up and leave the organisation but something is stopping me from doing it - maybe fear of bad climate out there etc. Basically, I just cannot handle the strange things that I have to do in my job. It's a team of 5 and I would say I play quite a pivotal role.
I've slept over at the bosses house 3 times now, nobody else has done so. I feel almost obliged/manipulated into doing it. We all had personality testing but in an open team meeting format, which was strange and we had to confess about really private/personal things. I got a book on 'seeking inner guidance' for christmas which I think is crossing boundaries. We have a 2 day workshop on personality testing coming up again together. I detest it!
The latest thing I discover (inappropriately) is that the boss has been telling her PA how very odd me and my family are in an e-mail I should not have seen but have while covering her e-mails during the PA's leave.
She also invades my personal space - one time at a conference she pulled up my top, said it was too low. Another time told me to brush my hair.
I love the nature of the work I deal with and the contacts I am exposed to. How do I put my foot down with this mind-boggling crap?

Are you working for the scientologists? It sounds like a cult? bad climate or not it sounds very wierd.
Just give your notice and leave with your sanity in tact.0 -

My parents think the exact same thing.
It is starting to pickle my brain!0 -
By personality testing do you mean Myers Briggs or similar? That is quite common in building teams.
But !!!!!! stop sleeping over, that is not normal at all!!Debt free 4th April 2007.
New house. Bigger mortgage. MFWB after I have my buffer cash in place.0 -

I have said this previously and I'll say it again. If things are as twisted as you describe from the inside, then I would be quite certain that anyone with influence who knows about the organisation from the outside has got the measure of them. In short, a short period with them on your CV will probably look better than a long period ....
Unless you are going to use the experience to write a book.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -

Hi there, it's not even Myers Briggs, it's much much more weird and twisted than that and if I told you it may be obvious on search what the company is.
It's just peculiar.0 -
well if you're not prepared to tell us what it is we can't offer a view on its normality.
If you just quit could your family support you for a bit? It sounds like it might be healthiest all round. You seem to already know what you need to do - what support do you need to do it?Debt free 4th April 2007.

I remember your previous posts and quite frankly if you're still with the organisation I think you must be as eccentric as it is..................
....I'm smiling because I have no idea what's going on ...:)
