Hi Scarlett,
I feel so much better just for a couple of days or better eating. Much more get up and go (although I haven't got up and gone anywhere yet today - but that is just sheer laziness :rotfl:).
I would love nice pretty nails but i tend to keep them quite short as they get in the way with typing (which I do quite a lot of for work). I must have very funny nails as if I put on more than one coat of polish, it doesn't set properly, even hours later can still be soft - but one coat chips off before the end of one day
Just keep swimming!0 -
Got my refund so £15 in today :j going to pay that off the Baby Barclaycard right away
Not too bad with the outs. £7 in pets at home for some cat supplies (mispriced too on shelf so saved £3, will treat myself and pay that off the mortgage maybe
) and £2.48 for some food as was much later leaving work that I thought I would be. Could have been worse though - it wasn't a McDonalds. Need to sit on my hands now for the next few hours to avoid any further damage for the day :rotfl:
To keep the DFW wagon rolling I've found out what I need to do to cash my savings plan in, just need to wait for the end of year interest/bonuses to be added now. Also put in an expenses claim at work for a £5 train ticket - I would never normally bother for a small amount but every little helps. Even if I do probably get laughed at
. Some of the trade in stuff has started to land at the various places so will have to get the rest of it packed up and off. Have also sent off a cash in form to get back £100 premium bonds I had from when I used to be rich. At a push I might be able to clear Baby Barclaycard by the end of January.
Very small chance of a no spend weekend this weekend - its pretty much impossible to spend anything on Sunday and at worst on Saturday I will have to get some fresh party food for the 'rents. Might even get the money back if I'm really lucky
Hope you are all having a good one
Big Barclaycard: £7,846.44
Baby Barclaycard (was Egg): £812.38 <-- £38 from Amazon sale and £15 refund
Flat Management Fees: £1,125
Overdraft 1: £1,500
Overdraft 2: £500 (hopefully be a lot less this month)
First Direct Loan: £1,161.12 (due to finish 2012)
Total: £12,944.94

How strange
. I've had that before with certain brands but not as a rule. The salon brands are usually better quality than high street (OPI. CND etc) and last longer before chipping. Luckily I now have a lifetimes supply of said products in the cupboard so wont be needing to buy fresh for a while
. If you felt like a treat one day then Shellac done in a salon is nice as it should last up to two weeks and stays really shiny. There are always deals on groupcon etc, especially in January - possibly not very DFW though! As God is my witness, as God is my witness they're not going to lick me. Sadly there was half a lime leftover and the only recipe I know for half a lime is a mojito. Will take one for the 'no waste' team

Really want to go and get a takeaway now
Would love a Friday night celebration. Going to be good instead though *trudges off to kitchen, heels dragging* As God is my witness, as God is my witness they're not going to lick me. I'm going to live through this and when it's all over, I'll never be hungry again0 -

Think of the money you will save and knock of the debt by cooking your self something

You are right. In the end I quite enjoyed leftovers and oven chips, shouldn't be so silly. Thanks for the kick
Sadly had to break into another lime though to pep up the salsa. Only one thing to do with it...As God is my witness, as God is my witness they're not going to lick me. I'm going to live through this and when it's all over, I'll never be hungry again0 -
Last of the music magpie stuff sent off so fingers crossed that will all get processed towards the end of next week. A few more textbooks to send off but they can go next Tuesday or into a post box. Got the shopping for party later - a whopping £3.55. Think I can cope with that. If I get it back I'll pay it off something.
Have just about finished swatching the ridiculous size of my nail varnish collection (70 + bottles
) that should stop me buying any more for quite some time as its literally easy to see that there aren't many colours I do not own. That is not stopping me lusting after some of the new spring/summer colours coming out but I'll stay strong. May have to try and save some pennies for a weak moment :rotfl:
Don't think I will have any more DFW updates today as I don't have to leave the house again so shouldn't spend any money. Party later doesn't need anything else and I get to raid the bathroom for a pamper afternoon. Have got lunch sorted with a wrap that needs using up and some tuna in the cupboard (I'll throw in loads of mayo and pretend its Subway).Happy New Year Debt Free Wannabees - may all your resolutions come true
