Its a bit pathetic and spiteful to run to the Moderators telling tales in the hope that he will be thrown off. If that happens then this board will lose one of its main contributors. I must say Ive never known him to use bad language before and Im sure it was only used because he felt exasperated. He has the best of intentions.
He is refering to other posters as 'retards' on another thread - quite offensive I think. Hardly a first offense.
Anyway, better things to do. Good night.0 -

Is this all because of that PM I sent you months ago because you were being abusive to another member?
Feel free to publicly post that PM by the way. Show everyone how foul mouthed and oafish I was being then! :rolleyes:0 -
The 14,000 posts are not a result of SS being a bragging yobbo. On the contrary, they illustrate how much assistance SS has given to the DFW site and the aim of this site is to educate people how to pay off their debts. That is why SS and many others post on here and for inspiration too. There is often humour involved but you have to be part of it to appreciate it. Im just sorry that things have got so unpleasant. The forest would be very silent if no birds sang except for the birds that sang the best0

Chill pills, please people. Tenroom retracted his penultimate comment when he recognised it was unfair to Las Beetles, Mr Scouser you also have gone too far and should apologise I think. And please don't make it personal about some disagreement between you and the other poster, I also felt that your message had no place here.
La Beetle-ino-bug, it sounds to me like you have got the message about the mortgage. Good on you. You will be able to afford somewhere in the future when your finances are under control, you will get your dream, just not right now, and who knows it may be an utter mansion, none of us can see the future.
It's so true about the culture today though, young people are being shown terrible role models and all the hype about 'houses will always go up' isn't true, as those of us old enough to remember the crashes where people had to hand their keys back to building socieities because they couldn't afford to pay back the mortgage, but still walked away with the negative equity debt round their neck will recall.
You never know Beetlebug, it could well be that when you can afford to buy, house prices may have come down yet again and you'll be in a 5 bedroomed house in the most desirable part of town. It'll certainly give a lot of people a nasty shock if prices do fall. I offer no predictions either way, cos if I could predict it accurately I'd guess the lottery numbers instead!

Who the f*** do you think you are? You come on here spouting your !!!! and no-one wants to hear it! You've had your say on one of the OP's threads already! You then come on here abusing again and you reckon it ain't bullying! W@nker!
Heres 10p, go and phone someone who gives a !!!!!! what you have to say!
You truly are a peasant of the lowest order, aren't you ? You quite rightly admit to being an @sshole and I'm pleased to concur with your analysis. Your puerile cursing serves only to highlight your lowly position in the social chain and there you are likely to remain, bitter and ultimately blaming others for your abject failure in life.
14,500 posts . . . in, what, a year and a half  What a loser . . . if you'd spent half the time you take to post on actually being productive, your debt might be considerably less but, if i were you, I'd save that 10p . . . your creditors might be reading :rotfl:0 -
Another one to unsubscribe from now.
Good luck, OP

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: You have no idea do you??!
The vast majority of those 14500 posts have been helping and supporting people here in DFW. Perhaps if you weren't so quick to judge you might actually be able to do the same...? Assuming that is why you are here that is?0 -

I didn't ignore it, have only just read it, how DARE you tar me with the same brush as everyone else (just thought I'd get in to the mood of the board :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: ).
WELL DONE!!!!!!
Please don't be upset by all the fighting, the subject of increasing debt is very, very emotive as you have seen. To add my tuppence worth to whether you should get a mortgage...... Picture this scenario......
You buy the house. It's a struggle, but you're managing...... Then you discover a damp patch on the ceiling. You investigate - it's coming from a leak at the chimney. REPAIR COST £625.
Next month the cooker blows up. Manage to buy a second hand one. COST £125.
Next month boiler blows up. When gas man comes out to give quote he also condemns your fire so you can't use it. NEW BOILER £950.
Next month car fails MOT, no option but to repair as OH needs fro work, no public transport. REPAIR COSTS £400.
This sounds unlikely, but actually happened to a friend of mine. No option but to bung all on credit cards, except struggled to meet minimum payments. Missed a few, a few more late, robbed Peter to pay Paul, deaults issued etc. Then car written off when hit by joy rider, only covered 3rd party, had to buy another, could only get finance at 29.9%.
They got lucky - OH got unexpected bonus at work when owner retired and sold business, this cleared all their loans and ccards. In the meantime however they both were ill with the stress of it all, and OH now has IBS. They have both become paranoid about money, and make themselves ill trying to save to cover every worst case scenario they can think of.
Forget the house BB. Concentrate on clearing debts 1st. Have you posted your SOA? We'll help you as much as we can, but please don't cripple yourself with a mortgage.
Let's be constructive out there everyone
. A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort
