It's all about the timing, isn't it? Good on ya!0

I guess it helps that the timing of my landlady's planned rent increase coincides with the end of 'term' at work. Plus I got the letter after a really really rubbish day at work, got home feeling like all I wanted to do was pack up and go to see the spotty dog and there was a letter letting me know she wants more money from me.
Been looking for the same money as I pay for the flat I can comfortably rent a family home in the same or next village from my parents, and if I can get permission I can easily take a lodger to cover almost 1/3 of the rent (the area seems to be commonly rent +bills rather than rent inc bills for lodgers) which will give me some flexibility in paying off debts/starting saving again. It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

Had one of those days today.
The bloke was at work all weekend so although I spent two nights in his room he wasn't there with me. This morning he comes in to my work checks his bank balance and starts complaining that they'll only let him take £10 of his £30 balance out.....now to me that says theres a DD due out, he automatically thinks the machine has no more cash in it.
Next he decides he wants to go to the cinema tonight so I'm going with him - well as I'm skint I don't think so. So told him to go sleep as he'd been on a night shift and let me know later. Didnt hear anything so text him to let him know I was going home and my phones would be turned off all evening so I can start sorting stuff out at the flat, and suggested that he really needs to work out a monthly budget, since he earns roughly double my salary and has as fixed outgoings about 2/3 of what I spend every month!!
So far there have been 18 missed calls to my landline....the mobile is in do not disturb mode so I dread to think what thats showing. It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

Realised a few minutes ago that I have no fresh food in the cupboard so am trying to work out what to buy if I walk to the shop, need to use up some sweetcorn I opened last night so thinking frozen chips/potato somethings for tonight and chicken pieces to make a pasta salad for lunch tomorrow. It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

Made a basic pasta salad for dinner at work today and forgot I'd need to take a fork with me.....not one of my brighter moments!
Upsides I have decluttered 4 dvds to one of my work colleagues, shes going to give me some money on Friday after we've been paid.Just another 50 or so to get rid of now!
Getting close to 1000 points on global test market now too so need to look at the new rewards system to see what the points are now worth and exactly what I need to cash out. It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

*makes the universal sign of "dump him and move on" to Scuba* 18 calls to the landline isn't clever or funny (nor is however many he made to your mobile in the end* If you're having a quiet night, then that should be respected. So there. Nuh. *crosses arms and stomps foot*0 -

Oh we had words believe me!
I don't particularly want to end it yet, would rather do it when I'm not berating him for being thoughtless esp as he's incredibly annoyed with work at the moment since he had a week off booked to go up to see his parents with his son and its had to be cancelled as they're already short staffed and they decided to send someone on a course at the same time as they knew he was on leave and one of the other guys is on sick leave after a planned operation.
But it'll happen and probably fairly soon now.

Totally forgot that I had requested £10 from mysurvey but that has arrived in my paypal account this evening so at the moment there's £12 in there waiting to be shifted to my bank account, think I have a payment waiting on topcashback - but am planning to wait til later in June to requested that one as there are a couple of smaller payments I', hoping will come payable soon. It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

Had a fab day yesterday (if you ignore the 5 hours at work), got the train to Brighton for a few hours in the afternoon to see my best friend from uni and her baby daughter, we managed an hour sat on the beach alone catching up while her daugter was looked after by my mates sisters and the separation weirdness got too much for her. Had a quick BBQ for tea before I got the train back up to Clapham Junct where I talked the gate man in to letting me off the train so I could go have a quick drink with some other friends who were out celebrating a 50th birthday.
Got home just after 1am, knackered but it was so worth it.It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.
