Another flying visit to Mr T, there was by some miracle no queue at the customer services desk so got the assorted wombled/pay@pump clubcard reciepts added to my points total - 135 points of which only 40 are from money I've spent so a big thanks to the bloke for being a numpty and not using loyalty cards and the assorted ejits who leave receipts lying around :D

Thankfully havent had to go collect the bloke from the north but have spent today sat at home getting increasingly annoyed as my car is meant to be going in for it MOT today, the mechanic has my number and said he'd call me when he was in for me to go drop it off.....am still waiting and I don't have his number as its a guy from work so have arranged it all when I've seen him at work.

If I don't hear from him in the next hour I'm going to have to start phoning round to try and get an appointment tomorrow as thats when the MOT is due.

  • Did you get it sorted? I hate it when people don't call when they say they will!

Nope he didnt call, so I chucked myself in the shower, chopped some veggies and went to collect the bloke to attempt to poison him - I failed.

So took him to work this morning, was phoned and asked to do overtime as I was on my way in and dropped my car off at the garage in passing. Got it back at lunchtime, thankfully it passed with no advisories at all :D

Meaning this month I've spent £155 on the car £100 service, £35 MOT, and £20 on the part worn tyre. Which is happily under what I'd budgeted for, but as at the service brakes were mentioned as having maybe 6 months safe wear left in them and the tyres a couple of months for the front set I'll not put the money to the credit card just yet but leave it in the savings account towards getting those done.

Today I have achieved not very much, but have driven to Warwick and back with the bloke to collect his things from the car so he can get it scrapped.

He's given me £40 towards the fuel and the money for the xbox game I collected for him last week, so I need to take that money to the bank so I can get it paid off the credit card next week.

New contract sim for the iphone has been dispatched - hoping it'll be delivered while I'm home tomorrow afternoon.

Cashback for the same as tracked, just need to wait til it confirms. Then I need to decide if I'm gonna be cheeky and call the work scheme to try and get the 10% discount as well.....it does say order via the website and not to be used with any other offer but not sure if that includes cashback or specific offers/discounts from a code at the checkout stage of the order.

Overtime booked is keeping me out of trouble 90% of the time... the other 10% on the other hand :D

My Kindle Keyboard died after a slightly drunken night out over the weekend so have ordered a new Kindle 4 - was tempted by the Paperwhite but after playing with one in store decided that for now I prefer buttons to turn pages. But this means I now have to get new covers - so my Keyboard lighted cover is due to hit ebay on the next free listing weekend, in the meantime it's added to my FB selling album, need to dig out the belkin unlighted cover too but not sure where in my flat that one is just yet.

Have a parcel to collect at the post office tomorrow afternoon - I'm fairly sure it's going to be the Marc Jacobs Diet Coke tote, but am also waiting for a Bzzkit for the E45 campaign.

Kindle4 has arrived and is rather lovely.

Marc Jacobs bag was the item needing collecting, still not sure if I'll keep it or attempt to sell it at some point.

Still waiting for my tax disc (paid for online the night my car passed its MOT over a week ago) and the E45 bzzkit.

Just done the slightly painful money spending thing. The bloke and I are going to the cinema tomorrow after a mystery shopping meal out, through my work benefits scheme I can get a pair of tickets for a 3D film for near enough the same price as a single adult 3D ticket so have paid for them online and have the code on my phone to redeem when we get there - leaves him with the popcorn and drinks to pay for which will most likely be almost the same price!
Also ordered a reloadable supermarket card, ordered it with £10 credit which has cost me £9.50, in future I can top it up online as and when I need to, think I'll use it for fuel mainly as that particular supermarket is usually the cheapest in the area of petrol.

Got home from work to find that my tax disc has finally arrived along with the bzzkit.

The bzzkit isa rather fab one with two full sized moisturisers and a nice pile of samples with moc's attached to give out.

Finally got around to applying for a balance transfer card, all being well I've got the Halifax one, only 21 months 0% though but its better than nothing and it looks like they're offering me a fairly low limit £750, but it'll shift the majority of the debt and I can clear the remainder with savings once my landlady has confirmed shes happy for me to stay here at the end of my current lease.
