The noisy neighbour or the bloke?

Am sure in his head there is logic, but if he does manage to get me drunk he'll be the one suffering when he wakes me up at 0530 tomorrow when he has to get up to go back to work - because I'm bad tempered at that time of day normally, hungover I'm worse. Or worse for him is if I get to the wide awake tipsy stage, which means he won't be sleeping til I'm ready to sleep (and then has to be up early and face my early morning temper and hangover).

Either way he'll suffer more than me since once he's gone to work I can make a brew and go back to sleep til mid morning when he's back to get changed in to the 'posh' uniform and in need of my assistance to do up the buttons on his jacket since he's put on a little weight since it was tailored.

Email this morning from quidco, £1.60, being sent to my bank account.

Bloke changed and dispatched off to parade in his fancy dress - definately in need of a diet in the new year though :D

Slowly making progress with the list of unimportant things to do.

Called and asked the work benefits scheme peopke to reset my log in information as the advisor who registered me misspelled my email address and ued it as my username, meaning my attmepts to log in have failed due to not knowing how it was misspelled and the fact that they want to send the new details to the email address on file....hopefully it should be sorted by tomorrow (am expecting an email to the correct address at some point). Once thats set up I can use it to buy gift cards at a discount for things like supermarket shopping (most of them seem to be 10% discount so buy a £50 card for £45).

Tried to call to arrange the installation of the screenwise panel kit but got bored after 6 mins of being told I'd be speaking to an advisor in less than a minute!

At some point fairly soon I have to take myself out of the flat and back to work to drop off my Secret Santa gift ready for tomorrow morning, then head over to my friends house for a pizza and girlie catch up, and then I have a mystery shop to do after midnight, figured that although I won't eat the junk food I buy I may as well be paid for sitting there as it's a good bonus payment as noone in their right mind (or sober) eats junk at that time of day.

I once had my surname misspelt on a utility bill. Caused a bit of a problem when I was changing my address.

    T. That name is similar to the one we have on file for that address, but not the same.
    Z. Wait a minute...are you the cretins that can't spell?

    All hail to paper bills...

One of the guys at work was complaining that BT have set up their phone system such that if you wait 45 minutes they say "Sorry there's a problem", and dumps your call.

He did find that out the hard way.

It's the "sober" that makes the difference - 20 pints = backstreet kebab made with the freshest stray dogs available that night.

One of our three busiest days of the year survived, just tomorrow morning to live through now, and the challenge there is going to be remaining sober amid the stench of old booze coming from the customers.

Works secret santa was as usual full of toiletries gift sets - i may or may not make use of mine but have chucked half of it in my locker on the off chance that I do something daft life cycle to work or do a 14 hour shift again and am in need of something to take the edge off the whiff.

The bloke is out walking the working dogs and having worked through alot of the surveys in my inbox and met the swagbucks target for today am going to get comfy in his bed with my kindle until he gets back. I've a mystery shop booked for dinner tomorrow night so don't need to buy food or worry about cooking tomorrow so the plan is get home from work, get the washing in the machine, change my bedding (and remove the suitcases from the blokes side of my bed) and do some pressie wrapping before coming back to aquire a bloke (for preference 'mine' but I'm open to other offers while there are cute strangers about the place ;) ) and go for dinner. Not sure if we'll stay at mine or here as am working a middle shift on sunday and he's now on leave for a week.

Todays trip the the flat has gained me another bill to add to my spreadsheet, the water bill is £93 from the date I moved in to the end of March, which if I remember right works out at £173 a year so pretty much the same as the cost of the water bill at the house.

Will pay that and the council tax before I head north for Christmas.

Headed north and after a deeply joyful 6 hours on the M25,M1, and M6 I'm being glared at by a dalmation. :)

Been doing some quick sorting out of the further accumulated boxes of 'stuff' in my room and have discovered two Sydney Olympic swatch watches in their original boxes, and a collection of birthday and get well soon cards from the ages of 7 to 9. I know the cards should go in the recycling but looking through the get well cards especially has lead to me googling some of my old classmates.

Things found so far while rummaging

INON lens for my u/w camera
Box of gloves, hats and scarves, including my much looked for etip gloves :D
My small maglite torch with the red filter.

    Things binned thus far
Boxes from my humax and sat nav since both are years old, although I've kept the receipts.
A really old supersoaker which was cracked.
    Three jigsaws with bits missing.

Somehow I don't think the room is going to be empty anytime soon....

Had a chat with my dad about what I want for the old sofa - he's informed me that I'm getting £350 for it, which is more than I expected, so we've agreed that he'll pay it in to my bank account in two installments, in Jan and Feb. As the new sofa is on interest free finance I'll use that to clear a massive chunk off the old credit card (not been paying off the MS spends for the last month or so as I've wanted to use the money towards moving etc so it's crept up more than I'd like it to have done).

If my maths is right this months salary and whats left from last month more than covers the bills I've had to pay so far and I've only got the electricity company yet to get in touch and demand money from me at the new place. So from January I can get back to my normal throwing spare cash at the cards and a small proportion in to replacing the savings I used in moving fees.

    Shopping all finished. :)

Final few bits picked up from Dunelm after reserving the other day, while I was on the retail park I also popped in to hobbycraft and came out with 4 cross stitch kits, I suspect three of them will be done before I go home but have a feeling the fourth is unlikely to ever get finished, although if it does it'll go in my bedroom.
