Paid £400 off the credit card and have a substantial sum of money to pay in to the bank tomorrow which will also be paid off the credit card - I figure that despite my Aunt telling me I'm to use the money she gave me for frivolity once the card is paid off I can save the equivalent to enjoy later (and combined with some of the money from Dad it means that the 'spendy' card will be totally cleared by next month).

I need to transfer money from my bills account in to my spending account for Janurary as I've already had my salary paid - it doesnt look to be the right amount but I've not had a pay slip to check it yet. I've also paid the water and CT bills for the new flat.

Christmas money is in the bank, tomorrow I'll shift it on to the spendy credit card, there'll still be almost £200 balance on it at that point but thats a combination of fuel buying to get back down south when I decide to travel, and mystery shopping spending which hasnt been paid yet. Clearing it will be fairly easy once dad pays me the first installment for my old sofa.

Didn't spend anything while I was in town earlier although I did see a jumper in Primarni which I really liked, but will see if its in my local shop next time I go in to town and then get it if I still think I want it.

How was your Christmas? Stuff you wanted?

Nope its definately me thats spendy, but thats the card I use for MS and fuel (and for the last couple of months everything else to save the cash for moving hence it getting a bit higher than I intended).

Christmas was good as usual I got told off by my family for not wanting 'things' despite the amazon wishlist I email to them every year, so got a few of the books and CD's I wanted other than that, ate too much, didn't drink much, managed not to fall out with everyone on the day etc. How was yours?

Mine was fine. Spent it on my own for a change this year, and cooked a roast. Didn't have many veg with it, maybe something to conside for next time - though additional veg would probably make it last 2 weeks rather than one... :rotfl:

I moved Dec 1st, so this month salary is the first time in a while that I've not looked at it and then promptly paid it out to the letting agent in its entirety. I'm really hoping that I don't feel the need to move again any time soon!

But moving plus christmas plus bloke has severely tested even my budgetting skills hence things normally paid in cash or on the debit card were put on the credit card so I had the cash to hand or I'd never have managed to pay rent on the house, plus the rent and deposit in advance on the flat. Course having had to get a new sofa hasn't helped either, thankfully I qualified for finance for it, so once the spendy card is back down to being paid off in full every month I can get to work making a dent in the balance on the new card (the MBNA rate for life), and will start looking out for a 0% BT card, but given all the credit checks I needed for the flat and sofa finance I'm holding off on that for a little while.

Strange idea but you could try buying and cooking less meat.....

Yes, you confused me with the tenses, because I could have sworn you said you'd bought a new sofa because the other one didn't fit through the door.

    Blokes are cheap...you know it's true... ;)

Are you back to work now?

It was a pre-packaged 3 bird roast - no choice in the size. I'm currently doing the lump of protein in a breadbun thing... ;)

I should be finished it by the end of tomorrow, or the beginning of the day after. Then I can start pizza and chips - which has veg in it. Honest.

At the moment I confuse myself :D

No back to work in a week, so not sure when I'm going to head back down to the south yet, mostly likely I'll be going Sunday or Monday for a few days sorting the place out as I left a pile of washing and need some general cleaning up done and the bloke is working.

Lumps of meat in a bread bun is always a good thing, and pizza definately contains veggies - or at least fruit in the tomato sauce.

    Unpacking completely done?

    Ham and pineapple.
The one with loads of peppers in (not a Friends episode).
    Chips

Well there's three out of the 5 per day... ;)

More or less....I may still have the entire contents of my wardrobe in either suitcases or the wash basket but other than that it's near enough all done. Just need to work out the bin day schedule so I can get them all empty and refilled again - the recycling bin especially seems to be constantly filled with torn up boxes at hte moment.
