That would of course run the risk of winning - where would they sell the unwanted goods ?

When you login to ebay there is an option you can tick to prevent people with -1 or lower feedback bidding on your auctions. Also you can prevent people who've had a unpaid item strike in the last 30 days bidding. Very useful.

How do you do this please?

i have often thought about setting up a false account to bid huge amounts on links... but it has always just remained a thought

I believe the seller can remove the bid within the last 12 hours ,it is only the bidder who cannot.
