salt and vinegar but they have to be so strong they make your eyes water and your mouth pucker up as if you've just sucked a lemon and you dont get many of those anymore

other than that those strange puff things crisps that look like little pillows

    or space raiders 10p a pack[/quote

totally true, other crisps just dont match up.Always find own brand crisps best -much more flavour.Anyway golden wonder were the best crisps or highlander fabby!!!!

This is a fairly frivolous thread, but it does bring up an important irritation I have wanted to sound off about for years now. WHY is it that every time I want to get a variety pack of something, (and not the BBQ types) there always has to be Salt and Vinegar in the choice? In my family no one likes S&V, so to save money we end up buying multi-packs of plain. Come on manufacturers, I know that you're reading this thread, please do variety packs WITHOUT S&V !!!!

It has to be salt and vinegar.

I usually blame the English air for making me put on pounds, but in reality, it's the salt and vinegar crisps.

Given that the scenario was a desert island, I thought that I'd probably want something tangy to eat so I went for the Cheese and Onion. But normally I would choose Ready Salted. Can I choose twice? :p

I don't like anything with vinegar so the basic choice between the two was easy. I must admit, though, I'm not keen on many of the flavours available...which is good as they're a lot of calories per packet!

I like Sweet Chilli Sensations most of all (or the Moneysaving Aldi equivalents) but of the list on the poll it has to be smokey bacon, prefereably Seabrooks mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.....

Please stop talking about crisps when I am trying hard to resist them.

What about Scampi Fries? Gorgeous! They still make them, but you only find them in pubs and old fashioned newsagents, never in supermarkets.

Cheese and Onion crisps need beer (then they are good). Is there any beer on the island?

Anyway, salt and vinegar should win. Anyone who thinks any different must be wrong. This is scientific...

Crisps compare to chips! Fish and chip shops don't have cheese and onion on their counters do they?
