Defrosted some whoopsied pork for tonight's dinner and it didn't smell right.
Not going to risk using it, would have been tempted by a takeaway in the past but instead I pulled some tinned soup out of the cupboards and having that with the lovely bread I bought yesterday. So a proud NSD today. :money:0 -

Hi everyone
Thanks Rising from the ashes I was wondering how it was done, so Im a happy bunny now
Well my four week January budget went right off key so Im starting my next four weeks from tomorrow and I will be hiding my Visa card, cos if that is my purse I will use it:(:( I am going back to the my original idea of withdrawing my monthly allowance and only spending that. It has been a disaster I think I was still hung up moneywise from Xmas, I spent more for Xmas (budgeted for) and went back to old ways and just kept spending.:( not good when you havent got it to spend.
So fresh start for me one month late starting tomorrow so my budget will be £100 for the next four weeks

:hello:Had a small spend today. I had to buy milk, herbs and kitchen roll. The kitchen roll is on offer at the moment in MrC 99p instead of £2.05p I think.
No cooking today because we had funeral in the family and so ate out.
Signature updated. Well done everyone!Sealed Pot Challenge 7 Member 022 :staradmin:staradmin:staradmin

Hi, I had my last Mr T's delivery today for January so I would like to declare my total of £274.26 / £400. I know it is a lot under budget but we've been eating out of the freezer and store cupboard for the past few weeks as it desperately needs defrosting. I would like to join in again for February so I will put my budget as £400 again so I can restock with the aim of reducing my grocery bills from March onwards. Thank you all who run this challenge. It's excellent at keeping me focussed and I've read so many lovely recipes from people on here too.0

Did my last grocery shop of the month tonight and spent £81.27 but will not declare until the 31st just incase there are any last minute extras.
Has another £4.00 off a £20 shop and topped up on some scallops, prawns and mussels for the freezer. Also managed to get some 2 packs of YS pork mince and 2 packs of YS pork steaks. Will use all of this in meal plans over the next few weeks.I am playing all of the right notes just not necessarily in the right order.

Still on the January GC..it seems never ending..
Spent 99p on mayonaise today for having with my egg salad at work. And OH has been whoopsie shopping...lots. He just came in and he's spent £1.49. Bread 20p, salad bag 10p, 2 large pork chops 89p, carton grapes 20p and 2 large mangoes at 5p each. Yesterday he bought 2 cartons of soup at 54p each and chocolate. And the day before A piece of beef for £1.19, lots of yoghurts for various lowww prices, a big carton of juice for 19p, and 2 ready meals that were used for emergency quick dinners for £1 each. Probable a few other things I don't remember so I will have to slightly guesstimate the total.
Had Lentil Bolegnese and pasta for dinner tonight from freezer.Grocery challenge October: £228.28/£250.00 NSD 4 ( not completed)
Grocery challenge November : £291.65/300.00 NSD 10

It had definitely gone, but thanks.0 -
Bought milk today, so a spend of £1.18. I made sure to go down long before the decent reductions were done so that I wouldn't get tempted to buy anything else
Off to update signature - only £7.84 of my budget left to last for the rest of the month, from which I know I'll need to deduct the price of a bag of bread flour if nothing else. And I thought I'd set it waaaaay above what I'd need !!!
Mind, I have taken £19.23 worth of 'treats' from my stores (which count against my budget as I bought them pre 1/1/12 when I wasn't tracking spends, so this is my 2nd purse system), and have spent another £5.76 on treats from a local supermarket as well.... so that's £24.99 of my £100.66 spends (almost exactly 25%) :eek:Cheryl0
