Right, £16.35 to declare to start me off then, mainly cleaning stuff, crisps, toiletries and some pull ups from Poun*land and Lid! and Ald!. Was a lovely feeling being able to strike them all from my Mr T delievery due on Saturday, saved a fortune. DD2 is potty training at the mo and doing fabulously and Im using up all her nappies before I start on pull ups but I thought Id get some Ald! ones to try as I quite admit I was blind before and never went to those shops! A new change for me though! Anyway, they and the toiletries should last me well towards the end of Feb! x0

Great fun on the phone this morning.
I had to ring my bank as there was a problem with my account. Spent quite a while sorting it out and talking to someone about upgrading my account.
Then they mentioned house insurance and I explained I had just renewed mine and the documents had come through this morning, but they still asked to quote. So I went through all the questions and it came at £10 cheaper plus £25 cash back as a promotion. So I accepted there offer and rang my old people and asked to cancel and thet asked to see what they could do. So I said yes and they came back at £75 cheaper than my banks quote. So I had to go back to my bank to cancel and got a tremendous run around until I put my footdown and they cancelled it.
A bit of a hassle but considering I started the day paying £25.50 a month down to £18 a month I am a very happy chappy.BSCno.87The only stupid question is an unasked oneLoving life as a Kernow Hippy0 -
Have been having a think (dangerous thing to do
) I think I'm going to up my budget for February, I'm hoping that if I come in under budget then I'll be more positive about lowering it, but if I set it too low then I'll be really disappointed again
so psychologically I'll be happier with the higher budget (I really hope someone knows what on earth I mean:rotfl:)
So I'm really sorry to Helen jelly but could I change my Feb budget to £400 please, sorry. Famous last words are that 'we should be able to achieve this easily' we'll seeEven at £400 that's cutting it by nearly half (how embarrassing is that
I'm so angry with myself that we've wasted so much money :()

Just down loaded a spending app, have spent a total of £52.71 out of my weekly budget of £70 already, my payday is Thursday!
Went to Asda yesterday- was passing and wanted to look for a swimsuit for granddaughter- nine small enough and spent over £20. Been to Aldi this am my normal shop and spent £22.06, then to Home bargins for dishwasher cleaner and razors another £2.28, then went to visit mil and popped into Co op and spent £ 7.20, £4 was on meat for Sunday as did not like the look of Aldi's joints and £3.20 on half price washing liq!, but already have some in!!
I need help keeping out of the supermarket.
Would normaly go again on Monday but I'm going to try and have an eat up.
Do you think it's best to shop on a thurs/fri or beg of week? Tend to do both.
Am at home at mo been ill with depression and also arm trouble, so need to get out, but not via a shop.
Not got much get up and go but need to cut back or at least stick to my £70 a week for 2 adults and 2 boys .ok for money at moment but if I can't go back to work, will need to sort my spending out.0 -
Gorgeestwo I know JUST what you mean, right there with you, but progress is good, and you can only change things from now on. In the words of the cheesy quote:
“Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, today is a gift, that's why we call it the present."
see you on the Feb thread soon!0 -
