NSDs yesterday and today.
things i have learned from doing the GC:
1. i am a shopaholic and i justify my spending by buying food.
2. if i had shopped around earlier in the month and paid less for some items i would have more money left at the end of the month for essentials.
3. i massively over estimate the amount of food we eat per month. i have cut back this month by at least £100 and the chest freezer is still crammed full
4. i often overpay for things (especially wholemeal bread) because i am too [STRIKE]tired[/STRIKE] lazy to walk to Mr T and buy at local shops instead.
5. we can manage quite well on a fortnightly veg box instead of weekly. in fact a fortnightly box encourages me to use up every last carrot thus reducing waste.Wins: 2008: £606.10 2009: £806.24 2010: £713.47 2011: 328.320 -

Well, after a massive fail this month, I am re-thinking my strategy and upping the budget for at least this month. Can I set £450 (FEB) for next month please? I have joined the 2nd purse thread and will be putting £20 of my GC money straight in to that. We will see if the next strategy will work.

Evie, I wouldn't see that as a massive fail. A learning experience maybe? Just slightly off target? An opportunity to refine the target? Something like that...0

Congratulations to everyone who has seen the month through,
Friday night I made a yummy apple and pear crumble cake, I have promised this will be the last bit of baking I do as my waist line is suffering but I am prepared to put a bit of weight on whilst I quit the fags.
.
Have to agree its definitely worth putting on a few pound to quit smoking its three weeks for me now and am finding it hard, not suprising as I have been smoking for over 50 years:eek::eek::eek:Slimming World at target0
