Evening all - just popping in to record another NSD. With so little of the budget left I am limping along to pay day. Mind you I'm going to cheat a little - if thats okay. Payday is the 23rd yet the Mr M voucher is only valid until 22nd so I will call it quits on 21st and then nip and use the voucher - call it out of next months.

All in all this is the first time that I have stuck to a budget - normally I would spend at least three times this amount so I am chuffed. Thankyou everyone for your advice.

  • Another trip to the local Mr T Express today. I had root canal work this morning on a tooth with twisted roots - urgh!! Anyhoo, I needed painkillers and soup so another £4.15 added to my total today. (The dentists bill was much scarier).

  • Hi all. I'm still existing out of freezer and cupboard supplies mainly. I have to say that I'm getting a tad bored of it now. As much as I enjoy the convenience of batch cooking, I long for something more tasty and less defrosted. I'm sticking to eating vegetarian Monday to Friday to keep spends down and only have to sort out the kid's breakfasts and lunches Monday-Thursday.

Defrosting lamb (whoopsied to £1.33) to make a curry for the weekend. Already have whoopsied frozen finest naan's (6p) and homemade bhaji's in the freezer so most required bit are already there.

Half tempted to do a run around Mr T for whoopsie's but I already have a 2/3 full freezer so feel it would be frivolous apart from the glee at finding a bargain!!!
Separated 17/06/10, now dealing with the fallout
House sold and debt cleared 23rd May 2014. Now saving to get married!

On to report a small spend of £1.50 last night by OH on a pack of dips @50p, and 2 Innocent lunches for our lunches today at work @ 50p each. Then spent 50p on a pack of Basics tortilla chips to make nacho's for our dinner tonight using last nights whoopsied dips and also picked up a pack of Fruit & fibre for breakfasts @ £1.24.

Tomorrow I'm making baked bean & sausage shepherds pie I think as I have everything in for it and we have LO HM Split pea & veg soup for lunches. Will need to get milk and will buy a couple of bottles to keep me out the shops.

Off for a walk and a quick natter with my pal at the pub so best nip and get ready:D

Spent £9.56 today taking me up to £58.30 so far this month. I think most of that went on spices, but they should last a little while. Also in there was a 18 pack of crisps for DH that was half price, that should keep him going for a a couple of weeks!

Thanx, have written my list for tomorrow. Haven't been able to go as the baby has awful chickenpox. MIL taking him tomorrow so will head up then and go to L!dls too. My 3 yr old thinks going to c*stco is a treat as he can see the forklifts lol.

On the plus side, I've not spent any money in days as I can't take the wee one to the shops. But, the fridge is now bare :rotfl:
