Data usage

Thanks everyone, goin to install the data manager app and keep an eye it

it seems people have skipped over the fact that the games themselves would have to be downloaded in the first place..
Just downloading a couple of games and a few apps will add 50mb on to the data usage,

Then you have all the system apps, that will automatically update themselves to the latest one, facebook, gmail,
maps etc etc plus the initial sync of everything.

So the actual data used going online and to youtube will probably only be a few mb out of that usage..

The games and apps where downloaded when on wifi.


He has used 5mb today, most of that was Facebook. He on played his games and used YouTube when n wifi a home. So looks like problem sorted. He knowsmnt to use games or youth when not on wifi.

It is surprising how quick you can actually ramp through data without even trying.

Just to add another recommendation for Giffgaff. I've been with them for around 8 months now and I stay with them because I know I can't run out of data or texts on my phone.

Not having to watch your data allowance makes a big difference to how much you enjoy using your phone - and it is PAYG too! (£10 = 250 mins, ultd sms, ultd internet)
