It still has to be decided by FOS if they can pursue this route that is why it's taking so long they have to make sure it is right .

FP were paid up to 75% commission on this ppi,glad the FOS are looking into this.

It's proving they were paid commission even tho it's pretty obvious they got something ....FOS just said they need to get it right before they out any thing legal forward ...

How would I find out if Norton Finance were paid commission by First Plus & commission from insurance company ??

If you do a SAR,you can request this info,they may not give it you but you dont know until you try,maybe the threat of wanting to know the commission will frighten them into paying up!!.

Hi just to let you know in case it is of any use:

I had a 25 yr loan and front loaded PPI which only covered 5 years of the loan yet would continue to make payments for the whole of the 25 years with First plus this was sold to me by Norton Finance.

after 3 1/2 years I have been paid back the money I paid for the PPI.

I sent a SAR to both Norton Finance and FP and the information definitely did not include any breakdown of commission to any party.

I too had a loan much the same as this with front loaded PPI and am in the same position of the Norton Finance/First Plus which is holding with the fos as had no luck with original claim through norton 4 years ago. Did your claim get paid as a result of fos intervention as they are still trying to find a way around, as far as I am aware, this minefield/issue of underwriters? I have also emailed for an update via the link further back in the discussion. Any advice would be appreciated and will update here when I hear back from fos.
