I havnt spent a penny on food this week, i have posted a meal plan & all the meals are ready made from the freezer (hm left overs mind you). I just need to buy some salad/fruit and to top up the milk, so it will be a small spend in the farm shop on Sunday for me.

I went to the mill on Wednesday & spent £40! But there's enough flour in my cupboards to last our big household for 6 months; they do 8Kg sacks which are just the right size for us. I still haven't entered any of the big 4, though I have been to LIDLs for some Churchward's cider (99p for a pint, rather a nice treat for a weekend evening) and our little local co-op for a pint of milk for my shop.

Can't check out the boot sale and farm shop this morning as have to wait in for a delivery which should have come yesterday  Waited in for nothing! Still, it was a NSD :) Hoping to at least get to the farm shop later - they have a farmer's market once a month, either on 2nd or 3rd Saturday of month, so that might be today too.

Just went to Lidl today, shampoo plus two of the pork joints on weekend half price deal. (Not sure if North East only as other area's seem to have diced beef)
They are very nice, going to nip again tomorrow to see if they have any left. Great value at £1.99!

Morning all, lovely sunny day outside, i will be spending part of it in the veg garden. Of out for a small spend later, only need salad, fruit & milk so we were going to go to the farm shop, however my sister wants to try aldi but not by herself? So it might be a small spend there this afternoon instead. However if its going to lure another person away from the main supermarkets, needs must. Enjoy your day all.

Went to local GG and got a dozen large eggs ( I found some potatoes in the fridge) I also got some apples, mushrooms, strawberries, 2 melons and grapes for £5 from the market, I have plenty of frozen veg and as I am trying to run the freezer down to defrost it I will use that up before I buy any more fresh.
Another NSD today so that is 5 out of 7 :) I will try to get it down to one day next week :D
Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light

Just a cucumber bought today from a greengrocer where I was working.

I thought this challenge would make me spend more but I am actually spending less

  • I think this is a great idea for me bar my need for Moo Organic Milk in bulk or Mr T Candia Milk as I almost always buy Long life Milk which I refrigerate before use.
I am like others here getting mightily pxxxd off at the underhand tactics of the Supermarkets to get us to buy so THEY profit and not we, so just lately I have been looking at alternatives.
Bar Milk problems maybe I could give this Challenge a go as a tester?
