Well done Wafoo, I'm pleased it worked for you.
  • A lot of the branches are getting IDM machines - Immediate deposit machines

which counts the cash there and then and scans the cheques and so credits immediately. of course cheques have to clear

    then there is the desposit

a lot of people already use the ATM's to do deposits, but they take longer

Its all to cut the queues

If it's to cut the queues why not make everybody do it instead of the poor cardcash holders,is it because they make little money out of us?,terrible cynic me..........

That is the longer term intention. They don't invest in technology .. to make the Branches look prettier.

But they had to make a start somewhere .. and have picked what is viewed as the easier to operate accounts. And it's been publicised in Branches for months.

    It wasn't, I'm sure .... personal.;)

spot on - generally the cardcash customer base don't really borrow anything or save that much so they won't help make much profit, so I doubt any bank would be that concerned if they lose these types of customers.

thats not to say that hbos/halifax don't do some much nicer projects as well, we have other projects in plan such as putting ATMs into socially deprived areas.
  • Before everyone jumps on the Citibank bandwagon and clogs up Lloyds' branches with your credits please bear in mind they only accept cheques up to the value of £1000 for 3rd party credits ie one where you do not have a banking relationship with LTSB.
Anything over that would have to be posted to them if there is no branch nearby.

If I have a cheque given to me for over £1000 I'll gladly make a trip to one of their branches .... :rotfl:
