The AMD cpu uses half the power of the Intel B800 and has enough processing power to do anything the OP mentions. The Intel systems listed will struggle a bit with anything more than basic graphics whereas the AMD E-450s on-board gpu will cope far better with graphics tasks.

Was £599? Yes, of course it was. About 3 years ago when it was first launched! Always be wary of "SALES" prices on IT kit. The prices fall all the time. Like others have said, the processor is the weakness in this laptop, but Asus do make quality machines. For what you want it'll be mostly fine, but it depends how you use Photoshop. That could be an issue for you.

I would say for the money it`s probably the best deal around BUT it is an old model that HP don`t make anymore and was £400 from their own site.

Topcashback is a measily 1.51% and I think Quidco is 2.5% but I think they charge you for membership.

Hi everyone, thanks for all your help. Finally bit the bullet and bought one today. i chose:

Why? Because I liked the colour! Lol. But honestly, thanks for all the help and I do have to say that nothing beats going into the shop and having a play around on it for yourself. I liked the keyboard on this and the trackpad and the colour!

I don't know anything but did look at the Toshiba that John Lewis is selling at £379
