• Can i just ask a quick question please, i just written my first review for chow and dooyoo :j, is there a limit to the amount of reviews you can write a day/week etc?

The challenges look great, i got a tin from homebargains a few weeks ago for 59p which cant be opened unless you use a tin opener, i knew it would come in useful for something!

Ive got a really good feeling about next year, its really motivating reading everyone elses storys
• Joe, there is no limit but you mainly make money from the rating you receive so it would probably be best to space out the timings between reviews, one a day for example. If you do feel in the writing mood you could always write more and save them in a word document for days where you don't feel like writing anything if you see what I mean. Then if you can rate more reviews you will get more ratings in return meaning more earnings from each review... if that made any sense at all :rotfl:

WOW! did not realise there was that many survey sites!! I am registered with a fair few already but I get surveys rarely so I guess the more I am registered with the more chance I have of getting some. At the minute I am working Full Time so find it a bit difficult time wise but certainly manage, being made redundant in May so will have more time then!

Will look into opening a savings account online, wonder if I can get cashback on 1? Question that may seem obvious to some but can you get surveys and stuff paid directly into a savings account?

Will pop to £1 shop in the week and get another sealed pot, only way I can trust myself not to pinch a bit!!

I just had a massive tidy up and had set aside a few things to Ebay, I must have been Psychic!!!

Great Challenges, Thanks Elysia x x
Debt at LBM [strike]£17,544[/strike] £5700

2020 the year of less - Less debt, less waste, less spending, less stuff, less stress!
• thanks cornish chick :)
• Thanks for the challenges Elysia, I will join the rest of the survey sites over the weekend and alrady have an account I can move money too but I use my paypal to keep paypal earnings saved in (I became a paypal VIP for doing so this year) and it's very convenient paying with paypal as I do most of my shopping online. I don't go shopping in town unless things are cheaper online and my change goes on parking but I save my vouchers in a tin for the and whatever isn't used during the year goes on the sales.

Looking forward to starting on ebay again, I have plenty to go on I was just thinking earlier after seeing a music magpie advert on tv that i could take some items to CEX and then I realised I would get alot more on ebay :D

Great challenges Elysia.

Joe, when I first joined dooyoo I was limited to x amount of reviews per day I think for the one month or three month or something, I think it was five reviews a day. It will tell you if you can't post anymore though.

Challenge 1: January 2011.

1. JOIN ANY OF THE SITES ON THIS LIST. YOU MIGHT ALREADY BE A MEMBER OF SOME OF THEM, JUST IGNORE THOSE. Don't go mad - join one a day or something. :)
Will work my way through the list and join those I'm not on already.

Register your interest at Shop and Scan at volunteer4panels.com I got an invitefrom a survey - think it was toluna?
And join a free lottery at http://www.freepostcodelottery.com – remember to check every day. yes do this but no win so far

***PLEASE ASK ANOTHER MEMBER TO REFER YOU.*** IT MIGHT ONLY BE WORTH A LITTLE BIT TO THEM, BUT IT ALL MOUNTS UP, AND ***YOU’LL GET YOUR CHANCE TO REFER OTHER PEOPLE SO YOU’LL BENEFIT TOO.***
Will shout when I am joining sites to see if there is a referal available

2. OPEN A SEPARATE CHRISTMAS SAVINGS ACCOUNT. Already have an account for this - including it in my £3660 in 2012 personal challenge

If you haven't already, can you open a separate savings account for Christmas money? It will be so much easier for you (and you'll be less likely to break into it).

See if there's any offers on Quidco for an online account - setting it up is easy, it'll take 5 minutes.

3. THE AIM IS TO MAKE £50 ON EBAY (after all ebay/paypal fees and postage has been taken into account).

Have a sort out and see if theres any presents you received that you don't like and can re-gift. If there's something you wouldn't give to your worst enemy. List that.

Have a sort through the kid’s toys and list anything they haven't played with in a while.
Have a general de-clutter and see what else you can find. You may be amazed. If you've not done eBay before give it a go (there's an easy guide in the first couple of posts) - it's a bit addictive.

I have never sold on ebay, but hope to get the hang of it this year - will start looking carefully at everything i throw away

4. Save for January sales!
Find a sealed money box, and every time you come home from shopping, empty your purse of all the coppers (silver too if you want to save more).

This is not to be opened UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES - this will be opened on the 17th December (a week before Christmas) in readiness for the Sales.

Have got - using it for £2, £1/day. Have a separte one for change - but will open when full and add to my account~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This seems like a lot, but the hard work is going to be the eBay one. Remember you have a whole month to complete it, so don't rush. Take your time!!!

List a few items a week, and let it run it's course. Then list a few more. This is not a competition who can earn the most - it's a challenge to see if YOU can earn £50 by turning unwanted stuff into money.

Thank you for the challenge Elysia. I'm going to try and keep up with the challenges this year, even if I am using the money slightly differently

Stressed xxx
Hoping to stick to the challenge this year!!
