  • Chel - That next stuff sounds awesome! There wasn't much homeware in my local :( I wanted some cushions! I can see why people queue up on Boxing day now
Elysia - You can't go to bed yet, you havent posted your 2nd review today yet ;) I'm watching you :D

I've written 3 new reviews today all ready to go on tomorrow. Really need a break from writing in Jan!

Thanks for the tips about filling in the spreadsheets, think I've got my head round it now. Anything will be better than the rubbish notepad document I had saved with just vouchers received on it :rotfl:

Thanks Rufus, just need to keep checking I guess. I will aim for £40 on Onepoll by next year.

Doing really well on the site that must not be named (see post 2 if you are confused :)) as I found a load of points I hadn't redeemed :D

Dooyoo going well again, just need to get rating. Might give Ciao a go, how hard it is to earn?

  • Tempted to join in but wondering, after something rufous said earlier, what are the best sites to get involved with when you have only grown - up children? Sounds like surveys might not work out - would reviews? In other words are the options limited for those of us of more mature years?!

I wouldn't say so Well preserved, surveys are needed for all sorts of people - no good asking questions about pensions to 15 year olds for example. I dont have the patience for survey sites but I know a lot do, best ask Rufus. I prefer review sites myself :)

  • Well today I poped onto my local asda and got a few smelly sets for bday ect at £2.50 each and spent 20 but I have that on my eBay account!! I have also set up another bank account for all the money for Xmas so I can keep it separate so I don't spend it as I'm Likely to!! I don't get on the laptop much so have a notepad set up for sites and gifts bought money made ect so when I get on laptop I can put it onto my spreadsheet!! I've also sorted out a box of things for eBay a box for carboots sales and a box for gifts!! Tomorrow I plan on signing up to some survey sites and review sites not sure which ones yet!! I'm also a member of topcashbavk so must remember to start using it when shopping online!! You all seem lovely and have some great ideas :)

Welcome to all newbies, I would love to name you all but there are LOADS of you so welcome all!!!!

Thanks for the spreadsheet Elysia, going to fill it out today, already have some gifts to fill in as got. The delivery man came yesterday and I laughed when he gave me my parcel. He asked if it was christmas presents that were late, you should have seen his face when I said they were for next year!!

Determined not to let things that happened over christmas get me down, depression is my biggest enemy in life and I have been on a reduced antidepresents for a few months and determined that I will not need to increase. Going to start running again I think to clear my head each day and it does make me feel better.

Aim for the first half of this year is to do as many surveys etc as I can and with my childminding money hoping to have cleared our credit cards by June.

    xx

Hi Well Preserved. I still do alright on the surveys but I know I used to do better when my YD was younger. I get screened out of a lot of them that ask the age of your kids. I find my best site for surveys is Toluna, I have earned about £15 a month on that one during the last year but you have a time delay from when you redeem to when you actually get the vouchers. The norm is about two months behind so if you earn £15 in Jan you wont get the vouchers until may be March. Sometimes they catch up a bit and your'e only 1 month behind but then it tends to go back to two. But if you're redeeming once a month then you end up getting a voucher every month. I redeem for Amazon vouchers from there.

    Hi guys,

I can't figure out Ciao at all! I get that I have to rate people, I get that they rate me and I get there is a tier system for pay per rate (0.5p, 1p, 2p etc.) but I've had 12 rates and earned 2p so far. What is going wrong there? I'd be glad if an old hand could help me out! :) :A

Jammy - I started using Ciao late this year after the others talked me into it. All I have been doing is waiting until they have a promotion on for writing reviews for something I have already done then I have been copying them over from DY. This month they had toys and books as their promotion and you got 50p per review so I copied some over and got £34 out of it. You dont get paid per review normally like you do on DY so if they havent got a promotion on you have to earn it by getting lots of good rates. My reviews are never good enough normally to get anything out of it so I just stick to the promotions on there. I did quite well out of DY earlier in the year but then lost my mojo on there as I seemed to run out of stuff to review especially now they have changed all the points around but I have had some new things for Christmas so I will probably start again on there again soon once I get used to using them all and have something to write about.
