  • I am now at review 3/20 :j really please with myself as in the last 2 weeks I have made sure I write 1 every evening when the children are sleeping it has helped alot as they added all my productsuggestions and i still have 4 left before i need to go on the hunt for something else to write about.

Thank you Elysia for the suggestion of what times to add it really did boost my ratings went from on average 25 to 45 :D also as i have been concentrating on DY as the problems on c put the final nail in my decision will just wait for the promos there.

t is driving me mad I have 23 surveys waiting to credit :eek: and still sitting at 76000 hope they add some points soon as I am slowly creeping up with polls etc but if they credited like they used to I would have redeemed by now.

Karonher - i also recieved my £5 this morning so thank you again for refering me to the survey :)

very quiet again hope everyone is enjoying their friday night xxxx

typical cudn't find an item on c so suggested it and it came up asking is his the item? didn't realise that meant it was there and then it has posted it so not only is it not a first review like i thout but it has now been posted quite late for ratings - not impressed

  • Hi All,
Sounds like everyone did really well in Jan - onwards and upwards for feb.

I haven't totted everything up yet but here goes

    VO - £20 tesco vouchers
    Viva - £25 paypal
    NV - £50 cheque
    Ciao - £22.85
    Sony - £5
    Facebook - £8

So about £130 - quite pleased with that

I didn't join in with teh ebaying last month as I had two birthday parties over two weekends to organise and relative staying. Need to get some bits ebayed though as after having said birthdays kids now have even more stuff we don't need!

On a plus side for feb I have received the £5 cheque for teh survey refferred from here so thank-you! I have nearly completed the food diary so those who asked to be referred that will be in teh post vack to the compant at teh beginning of next week. I also did a phone chat this evening about a product that I was sent before christmas and completed teh surveys on. I was on teh phone to the lady for 20 minutes and I will be getting a £25 cheque!!!! So pleased with that! Need to do some surveys now, I have a PC one in my inbox and a NV so gonna attempt those now.

The challenges - I hope to do 10 reviews this month, it will be a bonus if I can get some more done. Must get back into ciao properly this month too.

Hope heaters get fixed and everyone can enjoy the snow, though hoping that it doesn't stay for to long!

    Nicola x
  • well this month seems to starting out ok so far. (fingers crossed)
i got a £5 cheque in the post from a survey i had done, which i totally forgot about so that was a nice suprise. this weeks spends on shopping have been £2.29 and i wont be needing anything else :).

have just redeem another £10 off S & S for amazon and have ordered my mum a dvd for mothers day, so im glad thats sorted.

and im in the process of making my mates birthday card, which will be her 1st homemade card off me. hope it goes down ok, she is aware of my frugal changes though so hoping she will appreciate it.

hope everyone has a nice wk end.

    Luv P

    Me again. :)

I just remembered - last night on the Grabbit, I saw a Netflix deal for Quidco. Sign up to the free trial, and watch 5 hours worth of films, and they give you £15 cashback. Just remember to cancel in a couple of weeks, so you don't have to pay for next month.

So now you know why I didn't come on last night, I was watching a film - hey I was still money making. ;) hehe.

funnily enough i signed up for that 2 days ago, So due £15 back from that and because we watch ALOT :rotfl: of films and i suffer from insomnia instead of buying DVD's or renting them my husband said to look for Love film on quidco
Anyways long story short we watch netflix and now Love film (2 dvds in the post and unlimited xbox/computer/wii etc watch now films & shows) through the Xbox on the big TV. Were due the £15 from Netflix and were getting £18 from the Love film.
they are both free for 1 month also and then only £5 thereafter. Were thinking off keeping them since it works out heaps cheaper than buying or renting. :T:T so happy it's like being paid £33 to watch DVD's and films for nothing! xx

    Morning All,

Gosh it's chilly here, any snow your way?

Was really surprised logged into to chow and my balance is already £1.50, can't believe it. Have only done 2 reviews and have a handful of rates on each. Promise I will do rates as soon as I am able, just tried to rate some of you and still says am not allowed.

Does it show a breakdown anywhere to show where I actually made the money?

Mum2one, quick question about lapland, have you actually booked? We are thinking of going in a few years when Tabi is able to appreciate it. Have started a small savings fund already so won't be too much of a hit at the time. Who are you going with? Have you gone for a package with excursions thrown in? You will have to fill me in when you get back x

    No probs.
We booked dec last yr to go for Dec this yr, were doing 5 days / 4 ngts got the equivalent of all inclusive hotel, thou the trade off is were in the middle of nowhere. When I looked at town centre properties they were BB or HB, but when i looked at adding lunch or evening meal in the prices were between £13 - £40 each, over 4 days soon add up, and thinking its that for food whats drinks going to be like. not that I roll about drunk, but its a cup of coffee, tea, soft drinks, they all soon add up.
The other bug bearer is although Miss Hoodie is classed as a child age wise, as there is the 2 of us, she has to pay adult price.

Plan A was a day trip, but 1 x adult, 1 x child, was in the region of £900. .. You can do 3 ngt package, but we've gone for 4 ngts, we've prebooked two trips, redineer safari, and a husky sleigh experience, (there 2-3 hr trips) for 1 x adult, 1 x child - £300 for both trips. You do get a tester session included in your package, but as its a once in a lifetime, we've grabbed it.

Our total cost (includes trips is just over £2200, its on sig as LL fund!!).

If you did 3 ngts half board - looking £700 per adult, £400/£500 for Tabi.

I wanted to go for the week for New Year, but that was £3200,

    xx

ladies, I know were not up and running with car boot season, as indoor table sales seem to be the way at the moment, but please be careful re fake notes.

We did a table top sunday, after table made £16 quid, popped it straight into bertie (bertie basset allsorts plastic money box), and found that the £10 note we had been given was a fake. So the bank took it off us (fair enough) but were out of pocket.

i was told by the bank some tips to look for with fake notes-

The paper quality - feels rougher
The silver thread - as sometimes they use marker pen
Watermark - hold it up to the light you should be able to see the water mark clearly.

BUT - these can be faked not very easily

    the foolproof test-

near the top of the note it has the words "Bank of England", if you run your fingers across this it should feel slightly raised, not that much thats its noticeable, feel a couple of notes you get the hang of what your looking for.

Also you can check this discreetly so the person doesn't know that your checking it.

    -
It may have been a genuine mistake, but its not them out of pocket, its you and me. When I was at BK, (many yrs ago) it was £20 notes were the target for fakes as they would buy something for a couple of quid. now it look likes £10 notes are doing the circuit. I live in a quiet town, not a big city where you expect fake notes.

Sorry to mother hen, just don't anyone being caught out. xx
