Could you not change the design slightly each time...like make the frosting a different colour or decorate with different items to make them all different....xx

CHICKY postman finally turned up about 5 mins before I was due to go out and actually after I was due out (as friend was later than expected) and YAY Cross Stitch Card Shop was one of the letters plus the parcel I was expecting and thought I might have to sign for. (hence why I was getting impatient that it was getting later/about to go out and still no sign).

I haven't had chance to look through it yet - what are your thoughts and what do you think of the kit ??

I've thrown together some ingredients and have a raspberry and white choc loaf cake in the oven. Not sure how it will turn out .... but i'm hoping it will be nice.

So cake (i hope!), cross stitch, tv and a few cuddles with the cat (who is still grumpy) are the order of the afternoon :j

I was meant to be making white choc and rasberry muffins but I can't remember where I have put the muffin/cake cases so was lazy and put the mixture in a loaf tin. There is a bakery near where I work and they do really yummy white choc and raspberry muffins but at £1.25 a time  its expensive so I thought I would make my own especially as the last muffin from them was very disappointing. Hardly any white choc and stale as anything :(

    I've started the snowman kit....

My Postie turned up 5 mins before we went out with two mags for me. Tesco and dinner seemed to take so long!!
CROSS STITCH CRAZY - Issue 169

Free Gift - Joan Elliot chart book. Lots of lovely Xmas designs, and some decent quality backing papers as well. Quite pleased with this gift

Free gift 2 - Faye Whittaker card designs....4 of them, and one is a must stitch for me, the little blonde girl next to Santa is adorable and makes me think of DD. It will look lovely in a little red frame.

(Does anyone else think there's far too much work in some xmas cards to just give them away knowing they will probably be binned after xmas)

Santa Tatty Ted - Very cute, would look lovely on a sparkle fabric

Cross stitch quickie (November fairy) *Ahem* I've done this already :) Need to send a pic in before the next mag is due out

Celeb Stitch - Kristen Stewart....but it could be any dark haired girl tbh.

50 Gift ideas - Nice if you like olde fashioned style designs. Not really for me though

North Pole ABC - LOVE this, it's adorable.

Craft Xtra - Hmmm. The reindeer looks nice, dunno if I wuld stitch it though.

Advent blocks - Tooo much stitching in them for me. I would lose all the background filling in and keep them simple. Can't see me doing it though.

Crazy for xmas desserts - Mmmmmm...yum....but yeah - good for cards!

Let it snow (bird houses) - I like the style of these, but don't think I would stitch them

Xmas Mokeys - My DS2 loves these....and has asked me nicely to stitch him a cute monkey :D

Tree Decs - Nah, not keen

Candy Cane mice - too much work for what they are tbh

Just looked at next month's pages...and after all the searching for thos fairies then designing my own...there's a stocking design with 9 of them on it coming!!:rotfl::rotfl:

CROSS STITCH CARD SHOP - Issue 86

Free Gift - The Snowman card kit. I like the Snowman so will probably stitch this.

Giraffe (The Wild Ones) - haven't seen this range before now, it's very cute nd makes a lovely design.

Animal Homes - None of these really appeal tbh

Cheerful greetings - I like these, 'Jingle' and 'Christmas' appeal, the other two have too much white for me to do.

Patchwork cards - Not a style I would stitch

Christmas Birds - Again, not for me. (That peace on earth bird is hideous imo)

Christmas Trees - Too detailed to be wasted as cards! The desert Island one is funny:rotfl:

Nutcracker cards - I like the idea behind these......but they look a bit 'off' The body proportions for the sugar plum fairy is just awful!

Chistmas cupcakes.- Now you all know I'm not into stitched cupcakes (much prefer to scoff real ones lol) but the santa an robin ones are really sweet. I could see me doing a triple aperture design with them.

Request a chart - Nothing there for me

    Vine - Nah

Festive Food tags - I'm sure some would be useful
