Just popping in to send love and prayers to mrs-moneypenny - so sad to hear of your loss x

I appear to have got all my stitching stuff out of the cupboard  but am slowly getting it sorted. I seem to have an awful lot of blank cards!! :o

Going to start a list of things I really want to do to save having to go through it all every time I finish something!

    I. am. knackered.

    So much fresh air!

Spent all day tramping round Edinburgh Zoo, trying to make the most of the weather (only one 5 min torrential downpour lol, rest of the day was lovely!)

Just going to head back through todays posts then get on to my fairy picture

    Good Morning Girls

Hope you are all as well as you can be. I am ok - busy with work as normal but managing to stitch a little in the evening - working on two pieces my wee teddy I use for births and one of my favourite wedding samplers. Both items are for girls at work, hubby still concerned at me doing them as he feels I hardly know them but I feel its nice to be nice.

For those who haven't seen my bear here it is - free pattern from http://cross-stitch.co/samplers/baby-cross-stitch-patterns.html

The one I am doing just now is a wee bit different (wording placed differently). Also my frame is the same (from the pound shop - might have to buy a supply of them lol).

This is what my wedding sampler will look like. It is from issue 1 of cross stitch collection and takes less than a week to do if you only do an hour a day - so should get it done quick. Seen the magazine recently of Ebay selling for 50p.

Think this the 10th wedding at least I have done this one for.

Well better go and get on - still to do my shop check (check online how much my shopping is going to be before I get there and pick what shops to go to - so if Asda is cheaper than MrS I will go there for that and if MrT is better than MrS I will go there) - so I shop between the 3 of them. I have done my washing as it is quite nice up here for a change.

    Keep well till next time

Sweetcarer - the bear looks great, that frame looks like a complete bargain, I like the fact it's got the silver inner edge, so the work has a 'border' then the frame (iyswim)

And 10 times stitching that sampler now? :TI hope the work is appreciated, it's a lovely design.

Just been watching the rowing - it's such a shame to see people being so gutted at 'only' winning silver? I think it's so hard when everyone expects someone to get gold and they come away with 2nd/3rd but they have still worked so hard. Rebecca Adlington is an example - in Beijing GB would have been ecstatic with a Bronze, but this year it seems that it wasn't good enough. I like the fact she had her say on the matter as well :D:T Also her teammate saying she would chew her right arm off to 'only' get a bronze made a good point:rotfl:

Anyway, I got my fairies completed last night, I'm pleased they only took a week. I don't have any frame big enough though so will need to do some shopping.

And yes...I am far too impatient:o I couldn't wait for the next 4 issues to complete it so for those I did the following:

Nov - Used the tiny preview with Oct to make a bigger chart and changed the bobble hat for a crown
Dec - Found a Xmas fairy free to download on Lucie Heatons website and made up the Dec wording
Jan/Feb - Put them together myself using the other fairies as a guide.
