chicky you are brilliant thank you for advice , we actually did balloons at the funeral as there were so many family children at the service, it was really sad but watching the children wave to their balloons as they sailed away to heaven was very moving. i think i will look for a nice happy little bird or something totally away from sad things but i will give a balloon to be released by the other children if they want to
thank youSPC~12 ot 124

many thanks - beautiful picture!!!
I was after one of tatty teddy bride and groom though you've given me an idea of doing something alternative (and therefor not as costly!!)
Not got any bride & groom TT ones, but have found that chart. I must've got the wording style from another kit, as it's just the bear holding the heart shaped balloon. If you'd like it, I can scan it in and email it to you (it was a free design from Coats Crafts, so can't see it being a problem).
The frame I used was scratched slightly, so my mum suggested using heart shaped buttons to hide the marks. It worked really well and added something special to the design.
Have you stitched a TT design before? They're a bit of a nightmare, due to the silly backstitching! I stitched it on evenweave & it does help a lot.Cross Stitch Cafe Monthly Challenge Member #27

Thanks to all the girls in the Cross Stitch Cafe! You're all fantastic! :A0 -
never done TT before - Im still a bit of a newbie when it comes to stitching (especially compared to you guys on here with your amazing pieces of work!!!) I'd already thought it might be a bit tricky with the different shades of grey so now you've said about the backstiching I might get them something else until Im a bit more of an accomplished stitcher!
many thanks anyway though, I imght pester you for it in a year or so!!x0 -
Could you do something like a Mackintosh Rose trio? but instead of the last rose at the bottom but the names and date?Do not meddle in the affairs of Dragons, for thou art crunchy and good with catsup

The shades of grey wasn't too bad, but the backstitching is fiddly & made me swear...a lot! LOL! Was the wedding the end of this month? That's not a lot of time to choose something and get it done (as well as doing all that other life stuff!), so I would stick with something simple and maybe use some sparkly fabric or threads to make it a bit more special. Have you looked on Sew & So for charts/kits? They have a big range and are very quick to deliver. I personally like the Lizzie Kate 'Just Married' chart, but it depends on who you're stitching for.
Ah-just read back and noticed it's the end of NEXT month. That's not so bad. But if you're not confident to stitch to deadlines, how about a card or stitching on a little gift bag. Oh! You could do a little trinket pot for them to keep the rings in. I stitched a handbag mirror for one bride to keep with her on her wedding day. I stitched a gerbera because she had those in her bouquet.Cross Stitch Cafe Monthly Challenge Member #27

Aww squeezals is a nice word, and a lovely image
I suppose the advantage of being a sad singley now (:( ) is that I know I am the only one who is overspending the money lol.
