Morning ladies
Just thought I'd have a bit of an early morning catch up with you all. Just doesn't seem to be enough hours in the day lately to fit everything in.
catwoman - love your dragon. The colours are gorgeous. Looking forward to seeing your next update.
sweetcarer - how thoughtful of your parents treating you both to a few days away for your anniversary. They obviously know what a tough time you are having. Hopefully it will do you both good just to get away for a few days.
Aislb - I think your sampler is 'spot on'. Looking forward to seeing your updates.
nmm - love the poppy fields. What a great idea of you doing it in memory of your granda. Your mum will love it I'm sure. It reminds me of my John Clayton Tulip Fields sort of -iyswim - ok its still early in the morning. Hope you manage to track it down. Good luck.
Off now to hang some washing out - it looks a bit overcast but hopefully things will get better as the day goes on. Got a couple of things fininishing on Eb@y later, both with watchers and one has a couple of bids so fingers crossed.
Hope you all have a good stitchy Sunday.

What a busy week - and not just for me - lots of you have been really busy as well.
Not much xs done by me - a bit more on my Jubilee cushion that's all because I have been doing alterations to suit jacket for DS, turning up a hem on a dress for his partner and altering a bridesmaid dress for granddaughter (all for the same wedding).
Fabulous weather for our family barbecue last night. We decided to have everyone arrive around 5 and I spent all day preparing salads, jacket potatoes, desserts etc as well as marinading steaks and chops. My dear BiL actually cooked the barbie and then turned to me and said "it must be a nice treat for you not to have to cook.............." What had I spent the day doing? Anyway managed just to smile and walk away as didn't want to ruin the occasion by saying what I really thought and it was a lovely evening. Have just finished putting everything away and am planning to treat the garden bench (I did the shed last weekend).0 -
Thank you for the many links to bargains etc. I am delighted to say that I managed to resist each and every one of them:j Looking not buying = very MSE
Loved reading all the comments about the latest issue of WOCS. I like the Margaret Sherry alphabet and could see it coming in useful for individual gifts (am thinking it would be a lovely scissors fob or needlecase for a friend).
I thought the same about the Nest in Style alphabet - it would make a lovely New Home card or coaster or key ring
I really liked the biscornu designs and I don't think anyone else liked that at allI think they would be lovely on small pieces of hand dyed fabric (like the ones in Polstitches grab bags)
I like the bunting designs but would never cross stitch bunting - making it with fabric takes a fraction of the time
I agree with all the comments about the "blackwork sampler" - it just isn't blackwork though the little card is and I quite like that
I thought the lion looked like Aslan
Ruth honey - your A good marriage piece looks wonderful and well done for keeping it a secret. And if course I adore the fabric - Silkweavers fabrics are wonderful
nmm I avoided the picture  but hope recovery is continuing. I also hope your chillblains are not giving you as much trouble as they were - they sound agonising
The poppy theme for a stitching to remember your granda is a lovely idea. Sorry can't help with charts from CSC as it is one of the magazine subs I did not renew
Hope everyone enjoys what is left of this glorious sunny weekend
Louise Circe is looking as stunning as I thought it would
Bobbis Mummy Noah's Ark is really coming along - you must be delighted
Ailsb - how clever you are to combine the 2 patterns to make something truly unique. It will be lovely when stitched
Skoobie - sorry for your loss; some people leave a really big hole in a family when they pass
Emma123 - Gorjuss is just that - well done for persevering - it has been well worth the effort.
catwoman - love the progress you have made on your dragon0 -
Ruth_Honey - Happy Anniversary! (ours is on Sunday)Hope you have a lovely time away and kitty behaves for your mum.
Happy Anniversary, Louise & Mr Louise! Hope you enjoy your day.
Had a lovely time away for our anniversary. Will catch up properly with you all later when I have more time.Cross Stitch Cafe Monthly Challenge Member #27

Its a win win situation. They always wonder what to get us and can't think so paying for a wee holiday is ideal.
Hope everyone is well and enjoying the nice weather. I like it but I don't like being out in it - typical scot red hair and milkbottle skin so I would just burn being out. But it is good to get the washing out without cluttering up the house.
Here is an update in my lavender stitch - haven't been able to use the work camera to take photo of the blue sampler.
Off to do some more stitching and relax a wee bit before the next week at work - tho I am taking the long weekend off - long lie here I come!
Keep well
sweetcarer:j cross stitch forever, housework whenever :j0 -
Hi guys, a lovely facebook user on the csc page told me its in Issue 163 (November 2008) i've managed to find the chart, thank you to all that looked for me
RE the chilblains, yup they've gone but my finger is still sore and swollen so i guess another trip to the doctor is required  Still no stitching for meCross Stitch Cafe Member No1WIP: Cross Stitch: - Crochet:0 -
Sweetcarer - your Lavendar is coming along nicely.
I stitched while watching eurovision last night and think that I've managed to stitch 2 rows out at some point. Can't seem to find where I've gone wrong so I think I'm going to "adlib", or whatever the stitching espression is, until I can get back on track. Hopefullyit won't be noticeable.
Thanks for the comments about the sampler. Hoping to sort the thread and material out tomorrow night although as it's my nephews wedding on Saturday I have his sampler to finish and try to frame, and a bag to make for my Aunt, so may be too busy to do somehitng for myself.Cross Stitch Cafe Member #59 :j
